I haven't, to be honest. Looks like another one to add to the "must buy" list.

Melly, you can hear two songs from disc 2 of Bowie at the Beeb on my muxtape

the version of suffragette city on that is shit though

atari 2600 07.11.2008 08:52 PM

wha?

It's phenomenal...

it's live...oh so live

of course it's oh so much better on a 24-bit cd player through a 24-bit receiver with a full compilment of speakers

Cantankerous 07.11.2008 08:54 PM

no, they need to bring the guitars WAY up. it sounds unfinished and thin. david does just fine on the vocals but theres something missing.

atari 2600 07.11.2008 08:57 PM

the vocals are incredible, yeah

i can a little of what you mean...Ronson's gtr is def a bit louder on Hang than Suffragette

I'm always torn between those two...Ziggy & Hunky Dory.

ranked Hunky Dory number one in a Cantanky Bowie thread of yore:

this time around gave it to Ziggy.

My favourite Bozza songs are ''After All' and ''The Bewley Brothers''. He never topped those two and never will.

They took it down a while ago, but there used to be a vid floating around somewhere on youtube of backstage footage at his 50th birthday concert.. you seem him rehearsing with SY. He has a bit of fun with Kim taking polaroids of her, Lee talks about how the structure of "I'm Afraid of Americans" gave them room to make it really noisy, and Thurston mentions that he hitchiked to see one of Bowie's shows on the Station to Station tour.

I also heard a story from a coworker that he came into Other Music in nyc two years ago and bought records from Mars and The Fugs.
