Next year for you is a holiday on Houston then, eh? ;)

Cantankerous 07.22.2008 06:26 PM

new york city, london, and dublin

Toilet & Bowels 07.22.2008 06:27 PM

i spent a lot of time in paris back in my dark past, and most of the time i would stay in montmartre, which was nice because it's my favourite part of paris.

Tokyo is my favourite place on earth though.

Me good - I saw "Mamma Mia" tonight, hugely gay but such good fun, and so many classic Abba songs. Check it out when it hits NYC :)

Cantankerous 07.22.2008 06:41 PM

i don't do musicals unfortunately

other than rocky horror

MellySingsDoom 07.22.2008 06:48 PM

Fair do's - I don't either really, but am well glad I saw "Mamma Mia" tonight...I'm such a big Abba fan it's untrue, but that's the gays for you, eh? ;)

pantophobia 07.22.2008 08:16 PM

hmmm either St Mark's Place and 3rd Ave in NYC or the center of West Seattle

also great, downtown Long Beach, a good stretch of Hollywood and Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, Dupont Circle in DC, downtown Silver Spring in Maryland, the few blocks north and down to Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Rehoboth Beach in Delaware (heading up there tomorrow for record shopping, nice selection of Southern Lord and Ipecac releases), Sarasota in Florida (super soft sands on the gulf and Mote Marine labs) and downtown Seattle proper

demonrail666 07.22.2008 08:22 PM

My bed when I'm tired.

MellySingsDoom 07.22.2008 08:25 PM

demonrail's bed when I've not spilt beer over it. Again.

I really want to teach English in Tokyo. It's been a back-of-the-mind dream for several years now. I'm not sure how well I'd do if I went alone, though. I'd need to be married, I think.

how well you'd do?

acousticrock87 07.23.2008 05:06 AM

I'd get lonely.

Toilet & Bowels 07.23.2008 05:13 AM

you'd meet other english teachers, and lots of hot japanese chicks, so marriage would perhaps be a hinderence

acousticrock87 07.23.2008 05:19 AM

Perhaps. Being in a relationship was definitely a hinderance in Korea...

I'm definitely thinking about it as a real possibility, but I don't have any way of doing it for a year or two yet anyway. I'll see how my feelings on it develop in time.

shalom falafel on bezalel st in J'lem is my favorite falafel. i never eat falafel outside of israel. it seems kind of pointless when you can get such great falafel here...
but there was one place in manhattan, near the village vanguard that runs by an israeli that had pretty decent falafel

ploesj 07.23.2008 07:02 AM

right now it's this place. it's actually in he city, but really calm, right next to the water. great to go there in the afternoon to enjoy the sun or at night with friends.

it's ten minutes away from my house.

vegans4veal 07.23.2008 07:07 AM

yep it's antwerp. no one really knows what's going to happen here, but i hope we don't split since it's already hard to see us on a world map.

Rob Instigator 07.23.2008 01:50 PM

my favorite place in the world is anywhere standing behind kim kardashian

we have the same latent fantasies hidden in our heads, dude. I desperatly want to go to Japan, I just need to figure out a good purpose. Teaching English would not be the case, since I'm not a native speaker, though.

_slavo_ 07.23.2008 02:27 PM

My favourite places as I remember them:

Kosice (Slovakia) - I was born and raised there, and will, eventually, return to die there one day
XiAn (China) - wonderful, I could not believe my eyes. Ancient culture meets high-tech
Baltimore, MD (US) - a shithole, but oh so wonderful memories
Luxembourg (Luxembourg) - a wonderful city
Monte Carlo (Monaco) - posh stuff
London (UK) - my favourite city ever. A melting pot, as you call it.

ithinkimissyou 07.23.2008 04:31 PM

My favourite parts of the world are on the west of coast of Ireland

I'd love to take some time out when I get my shit together and just drive the entire length of the Atlantic coastline with some good friends, or even on my own and a camera.

I get a bit down about life in suburbia in this country, but we're blessed with real natural beauty, just a short drive away.

I need to take some time out and experience it properly, I love the ocean.

ithinkimissyou 07.23.2008 04:31 PM

Not to get down on the east coast...

Kraftwerk are playing in the Wicklow Mountains in a while.. here exactly:

Rob Instigator 07.23.2008 04:39 PM

One of my favorite places on Earth. I could sit and look at the light changing the colors from sun up to sun down, and I have!

EMMAh 07.23.2008 10:46 PM

I've only ever been places in Eastern Canada and then Trinidad and Tobago.

My favorite place was definitely Tobago.

I have been to this beach, it was lovely other than the fact that when I was there all there coral had been destroyed by waves and made swimming hard on the feet and what not.

krastian 07.24.2008 12:07 AM

Daaaaaaaamn.
