According to the liner notes for Is This Real? in the Wipers box set,the album was recorded in 1980. And the liner notes were written by Greg Sage, so they should be accurate.

i checked google before i mentioned that and it said 1979 at all the sites i checked. if it is a 80's release than it's going in my top 5.
