For my taste it isn't, the main reason is I don't like the letter style on it. If it was only the flaming scarecrow it would be better. But still, it's about the music not the coves even threads like this are great.

I think BAD MOON's cover instantly tells you what the album sounds like. Same with A THOUSAND LEAVES.

... or Transylvanian Hunger by Darkthorne - those two album covers are unbelieavably similar.

Local Houston band HOMO POLICE has a seven inch single that my man Sozavac loves to display to shock his dates.

Some of these are just great! So awful they're like works of art. I think Beck's Mellow Gold is pretty horrific too.

Oh also, John Cale is without question one of my favourite musicians ever, but he's got some pretty poor album covers (some great one's too though):

Yeah, I like it. It's not trying to be cool or anything. It just is what it is.

I always thought it looked really cheap and lame and it prevented me from listening to the album for a long time (which is dumb but it's the way it works) because I thought that it was just some thrown together EP or something. Now that I've looked closer at it, I see it's actually really cool. But in a way I can totally see why someone wouldn't like it.

^I actually like the SP album cover. Dn't know why. The Green Day isn't bad. But the RHCP I'm with you 100%.

It's easy to pick on Pen & Pixel album covers. But that's almost cliche. TO me this is way worse than anything on No Limits Records. I mean, at least those are kind of awesome in a funny way.
