if anyone has a spare ticket, I would love to go ...
Found out too late about this show, which is quite stupid because I'm subscribed to the AB newsletter.

EvdWee 09.21.2009 06:40 AM

Yeah, me too. Ten days after ordering them, tickets were in the mail

greenlight 09.21.2009 10:06 AM

If all else fails you can "hitch a ride" on my guestlist+1, but this depends on if EvdWee is bringing another friend or not.

greenlight 09.22.2009 08:12 AM

so I got through. a man who answered said, Irish post has returned ticket, because of insuifficent address details (well, that's a mystery) and that they sent me an email saying what happened, which I never got (mystery again). anyway, my ticket will be in box office before the show, so I can get it there. cool. sorted. all I need to do now is to find some nice hotel or hostel in the area. any suggestions? never been in Brussels....so see you there (or maybe not, you's all seems to have vip thingy hahahaha)!

- Good news!

- Ten years ago I stayed at a very nice hostel in a street opposite Le Botanique. Not sure if it's still there, though - also, no clue on distance from the AB. Anyway, this is a good starting point: http://www.hostels.com/findabed.php?ChosenCity=Brussels&ChosenCountry=Bel gium&Search=1

Jef, do you know any good pubs near the AB? Pre-show meeting anyone?

greenlight 10.03.2009 03:20 PM

I'm up for it! (pre-show meeting). Jeff do you need shots from different angle? I'm thinking to bring camera (not really pro stuff, but still...) anyway, pint before the show would be nice.

On second thought: if I recall correctly (Jef, can you confirm?) AB has a decent restaurant/bar so that might be the easiest option. When does the show start? Is there an opening band?

Jef Mertens 10.04.2009 04:22 AM

AB does indeed have a nice bar. I just don't know when it opens. I am going to try to shoot the soundcheck as well, so i'll be in Brussels pretty early on. I'm thinking of making a live video for one of the new songs.

Richard, any adittional footage would be welcome.

nicfit 10.04.2009 05:49 AM

I'm excited even if I won't be there!

Jef Mertens 10.05.2009 09:00 AM

YES!!! Paul Labrecque / Head Of Wantastiquet is opening act.

Excellent! Are times (doors / opening act / main act) already known?

Don't think so.

Hey Martin, are you doing soundrecordings? I'm hoping to videotape stageside and would be cool not having to worry about the sound that much.

Yes, bringing my Edirol R-09, and will record in glorious 24/48 wav. If you think you can schmooze your way into a soundboard patch, I'll arrange for XLR cables as well.

Yes, I'm recording the Head Of Wantastiquet set as well.
Also because I have a future film project with Paul.

Don't get your hopes up, they stopped giving soundboard access in 2006 or 2007 - but one can always dream.

sy2004 10.07.2009 08:54 AM

I know, rappard, but indeed, dreaming doesn't hurt.
Maybe someone can convince the band and the AB crew to put the gig up in their on-demand ABTV series, as they recently did with Moby.

greenlight 10.19.2009 11:40 AM
