The band was hot, but there was one of the shittiest sounding shows I have ever been to. It was all pretty much a big muddled mess. When I see SY, I want to be able to hear each of the instruments separately.

I was up front and it sounded excellent to me.

Damn, does Thurston not age? I mean, whenever I see him he has a few qrinkles here and there, but jeez! I know people a decade younger than him who look a decade older than him! The guy has great genes. He barely ages! Kim looks great too. Lee has quite a lot of grey hair, but it makes him look distinguished and intelligent. And Steve still looks like a calculus professor. Can't wait for them to drop by Beantown. That show is going to kick major ass. I know it for sure. I just hope they bust out Eric's Trip and Schizophrenia and maybe some Expressway for the encore. That would make my day.

great pics! i saw them the next night in austin and the drummer from awesome color said "sonic youth rocked houston last night, you guys don't even wanna know!" must've been a great show, although austin was great as well, sonic life!

Man you guys got Schizophrenia!!! We got 100% which was great and all but schizophrenia!!! ahhh another 2 years before they come round again.....
Interestingly enough the Neautral, Turquise Boy, and Pink Steam kind of stole the show. I was so hyped up fro Rats but it was Lee's first song to sing so his vocals were low and his guitar was still too low. Jams Run Free was awesome as expected!! Shaking Hell was the shit though!!!! |
Sonic Youth always rocks Houston hard. Their Sonic Nurse show was also insane.
