that's $117 for a pair of tickets. If thats the price you got from the pearljam ten club site. yeh they sell pairs. Its still pricey but not Stones crazy.

marleypumpkin 03.27.2006 11:59 PM

I'm glad to see that Jah induces thought whenever his name comes up. But anyway. Everyneurotic, do you speak german? My dad has spoken it for many years, but I never could catch on.

nah, like many languages, i know only a couple of words. i'm trying to learn japanese, though.

marleypumpkin 03.28.2006 12:06 AM

Everyneurotic:

That is not going to be easy. I hope you can learn this language. You never know when it might come in handy.

Everyneurotic 03.28.2006 12:18 AM

yeah, i hope i can too!!!

dietzer123 03.28.2006 12:50 AM

what led you to become a rastafarian marley? i'm vaugely familiar with some of the various practices of it cause i had a friend who was a rasta but i'm not really familiar with the philosophical underpinnings of it or why it would really appeal to non-jamaicans

marleypumpkin 03.28.2006 12:59 AM

To tell you the truth, it's nothing fancy. I was getting fed up w/ the same old religious non-sense, judgement & wrath. & I said to myself, there has to be something out there that has no disregard for that kind of religious aspect.
& then The Wailers came into my life. Not just Bob, but, Peter, Bunny, Carlton, & Aston. This band showed me the way of rastafarianism. Not just the blazing of the herb, but of the feeling that we are all kings & queens.
& after The Wailers started me on the path to Revelation 5, Emperor Haile Selassie I, the Conquering Tribe Of The Lion Of Judah, there would be no turning back. JAH! Rastafari
Jah Bless you for your interest in our religion.

krastian 03.28.2006 02:22 AM

Hmmmm......well not to bust yr bubble, but I'm pretty sure rastafarianism is pretty "judgemental" against homosexuals and pretty crappy to women.....but I'm not an expert on the subject.

dietzer123 03.28.2006 02:40 AM

i think most religions dno't work well unless they have some individual interpretation, as i'm sure most rastafarians do

sellouteater 03.28.2006 02:16 PM

Any satanist here?

You fuckers.

noisemachine 03.30.2006 10:24 PM

does anybody know what the ticketmaster presale password is on this?

Alex's Trip 03.30.2006 10:38 PM

I told my dad about this...he wants to go. We might go. I hope the flaming lips and SY do a proper tour and come here at the end of summer so I can see them again.

Angel Dust 03.31.2006 04:54 AM

This sucks. There must have been a lot of $$$ involved for Sonic youth. I hope this is not their only L.A. show for this tour.... I ain't going to this one for sure.

blots 03.31.2006 05:53 AM

Ticketmaster password is "COMATOSE"...not sure whether it's still going or not, I just got an email...not really interested.

marleypumpkin 03.31.2006 06:37 AM

Same here. This the most ridiculous scheduling in the history of concerts.

SONIC YOUTH Fucking rules, & pearl jam fucking sucks. It's that simple
pearl jam shouldn't even be allowed to lick SY's "Dirty Boots".

Oh, & Ass Blaster, I will not CHILL. Music is my passion, don't you ever tell me to chill on the subject of music, or my religion again. Do you get my drift?

crappydrummer 03.31.2006 07:23 AM

well, despite their last two albums blow, pearl jam is still a great live band so unless you're ass deep into the indie shit, there is a chance you will enjoy their set too, even if you're not a fan of this band.

I'm confused. I've gone back through this thread and can't find anywhere where assblaster has told marleypumpkin to chill. What's going on?

He told me to chill in those reputation comments, or whatever the fuck.
I just won't let anybody tell me to "chill" when it comes to religion or music.

No it's not! You are making a big deal out of nothing. Believe me, there have been some really shitty bands that have opened up for/played with Sonic Youth.

guitarpro 03.31.2006 08:15 PM

Cool bring that shit to Vegas

Yeah, I understand that, but it's totally ass back-wards. I would be fine w/ pearl jam opening for SY. Not the other way around. It's just ridiculous, to me, that a band that has been around for 25 years should open for any band.
Sonic Youth should alaways be the headliner, & never be an opener.

crappydrummer 04.01.2006 04:44 AM

aslo, they should have a symtv playing clips their clips non stop, synn with all the latest info and 4 channels of sy: psycho-o-cam: each member of the band would be followed 24/7 by a film crew who would broadcast sound and picture in real time straight to our tv sets.

Mudride 04.01.2006 05:15 PM

right, I think PJ deserves some credit. I mean, they came with Mudhoney to South America and that was a dream come true.
