automatic bzooty 09.21.2009 09:47 PM

ahahaha

i don't want to think about that, really. but um, it's too late.

thurston's corny jizz smoothies.

terriblecanyons 09.21.2009 09:47 PM

OH MAN

rep't

automatic bzooty 09.21.2009 09:48 PM

YES!!!

Satan 09.21.2009 09:49 PM

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to automatic bzooty again.

son of a bitch

atsonicpark 09.21.2009 09:50 PM

Thurston's a dirty boy in bed, I bet.

automatic bzooty 09.21.2009 09:55 PM

gordon-moore sex is probably ferocious as fuck.

why am i even thinking about that, ffs?

automatic bzooty 09.21.2009 09:56 PM

...

but srsly, i'm worried about this martha stewart aesthetic though. wasn't there some article with photos of k & g chillin' in their living room? and wasn't their living room just a funky couch, wood floors, and a shelf of noise cassettes? whut.

terriblecanyons 09.21.2009 09:56 PM

1) because you're a sick enough fuck to post on this board in the first place
2) because of the thurston corny jizz smoothie (they light a fire in your pants)

also, I think the picture you're thinking of was of their basement.

Satan 09.21.2009 09:57 PM

dude idk. if their house is all martha'd out...

automatic bzooty 09.21.2009 10:06 PM

1) true, true. at least i didn't start that "what if they made a sex tape?" thread.
2) t-boner should consider bottling that shit and putting it on ebay 'long side his black metal tapes. or at shows.

is there an "avant garde" version of m. stewart?

that might lighten the situation. just a tiny bit. thurston: "yeah, this looks like martha's doing, but the interior decorator TOTALLY played cowbell in liquid liquid. it's subversive and no wave. super sonik kool pea green throw pillows!"

Satan 09.21.2009 10:08 PM

holy SHIT

http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/...-moores-house/

terriblecanyons 09.21.2009 10:09 PM

Told you.
That house is totally packin' some Martha garb.

automatic bzooty 09.21.2009 10:13 PM

OH MY GOD.

that looks massive... and it screams "new england yuppies!" to me. ):

Satan 09.21.2009 10:14 PM

they're making some fucking bank to be living in that house

terriblecanyons 09.21.2009 10:20 PM

another thread hijacked.

Satan 09.21.2009 10:24 PM

I'm glad Thurston and Kim are boring. Rich and boring is the new broke and edgy.

infinitemusic 09.22.2009 12:13 AM

No it's not, but I can't believe anyone expected any different. I mean they're what, 60 now?

atsonicpark 09.22.2009 12:22 AM

Now I need to get rich and successful and boring, like my heroes!

elix it 09.22.2009 10:40 AM

Flaming Lips

notyourfiend 09.22.2009 12:27 PM

I really enjoyed Be Your Own Pet! live way back in the beginning of their career. Am I totally nuts?

loubarret 09.22.2009 01:02 PM

No.

I still got a schoolboy crush on Jemina Preal. And still happy I once shaked her hand and talked to her with stars in my eyes for a good 30 minutes. Funny that their show only lasted 20...

notyourfiend 09.22.2009 01:42 PM

She's fucking hot as hell.

I really don't like that "I Hate People" song though.

narlus 09.22.2009 01:42 PM

best live performances i've seen

John Zorn's masada quartet
Verlaines
Jesus Lizard, Goat tour
SY on the Goo tour
Bob Mould, workbook tour
Robyn Hitchcock + Egyptians, night off/secret show in '90
Urge Overkill/Tar/Unsane
Harry Pussy/Charalambides/Shadow Ring
Boadrum 9
Dead Kennedys
Chris Knox/Bill Direen
Yo La Tengo/Tall Dwarfs
Peter Jefferies/Alastair Galbraith
NNCK on a roofdeck overlooking Boston's skyline before getting shut down by the cops

And she is so sweet and funny in real person. But yeah that song isn't their best and a bit to much.

automatic bzooty 09.22.2009 02:47 PM

why hello there.

i'm very on the fence about BYOP (and very "blech" about that i hate people track) but um she's cute.

jnic 09.22.2009 03:10 PM

I'll probably catch some flack for this, but I do have to go with Phish.
I am a very serious fan of their music, hate the scene that surrounds it, I always go to their shows to get off musically.

loubarret 09.22.2009 03:32 PM

Phish is a hated band around here, but I dig them allot.

That are some very skinny pants. I remeber the days I fitted those....

stadtgorilla 09.23.2009 02:39 PM

Kraftwerk. By far the best gig ever. Then:
Sonic Youth
Melvins
Pavement
Die Goldenen Zitronen
Bob Dylan
Trail Of Dead.

Well, only if you listened to their recorded output. I can see why they might be fun live.

notyourfiend 09.24.2009 08:30 AM

I saw them live with Sonic Youth in 2006. They put on an AMAZING show. I was seriously blown away.

nicfit 09.24.2009 08:35 AM

sy - ulan bator - zu - kid commando

lots more, many of the bands I like luckily are really good live too.

eternal 09.24.2009 09:58 AM

i don't care what people say, my bloody valentine was the best show i've ever seen.

i could hear and identify all the songs perfectly and YMMR was possibly the best 30 minutes of my life

washer 09.25.2009 02:01 PM

Last night i went to a Kayo Dot concert and it was a truly magnificent experience. Probably one of the most talented bands i'll ever have the privilege to see, and it was even better than what i expected, since most of the songs played were from the first two albums.

atsonicpark 09.25.2009 02:05 PM

The violinist of Kayo Dot... :)

Yeah, that definitely was another high point of the show. :D I also met Toby Driver on the way out of the bathroom, but it kinda felt that wasn't an appropriate place to have a conversation, lol. He seemed to be a cool guy, anyways.

Torn Curtain 09.26.2009 05:18 AM

Hood
Radiohead (in 2003 at least)
Sonic Youth
EDIT: Iggy & The Stooges (2008)

There are other ones which I can't remember right now.
