I like their early stuff, the more horror-rap shit, Great Milenko I think being their last great album. I mean, a lot of their shit is terrible and stupid, but it is mostly fucking hilarious.. I love it in small doses. Last shit I heard was Bizarr.. or Bizzar? Either way, it sucked ass.

I think ICP might be the most intelligent and brilliant band to ever exist, really; even if you don't love their music, it's hard to disagree with that, because they made their own brand, their own EMPIRE, with hardly any label support, and even today they're making millions and millions, doing it their way, organizing their own festivals and making their own films and shit. Actually quite remarkable, for a group that's so under the radar (yeah, yeah, they had a few videos on MTV, they were in mainstream wrestling federations, but ask the average person who ICP is, or even people who know who they are to name one song by them, and you won't get an answer). So, for a band to still operate on this level, making millions, in 2010... wow.

I pretty much feel the same way. It seems that the more lame guitar riffs they implemented into their sound, the worse they became. Bizzar isn't actually all that bad (you probably heard the other version...Bizaar). Hell's Pit was refreshing too.

My best friend and I recently "rediscovered" ICP. We love to drink Faygo, and blast the wicked shit. It pisses everyone we know off so much, which only encourages the behavior. But isn't that what ICP is all about?

I can't help but genuinely adore ICP. They're clowns from Detroit who rap about eating dead bodies, fucking fat chicks with hunchbacks, and drinking Faygo. How could anyone not love that?

KoRn actually outplayed the deftones on this 2006 gig.. Thankfully deftones came out with three bad ass records since and got their mojo back but 2006 was definitely a low point...

I still like Falling Away From Me, just because its the blueprint of everything that makes me laugh about NuMetal. Not laugh AT necessarily, but its the point where the genre tipped over into being explicitly funny.

That is what sucks most about it though, because S/T and Life Is Peachy are so distinctively NOT Nu-metal, and its clear that around Follow the Leader they were starting to sound more like nu-metal. Nu-metal SUCKS!

RE: Deftones - the Crosses album came out yesterday. So so so good. Sounds like Depeche Mode a lot.

Meh.. Its just a re-release of the first two EPs (which are fucking bad ass records, but are not depeche mode, are heavier, almost like if depeche mode meets atari teenage riot).. It was supposed to initially be 3 independent EPs, and instead of releasing the 3rd EP they just released all three as a LP.

I do love Crosses though, just not the newest material, to soft for me. Chino's crooning was always best when blended with fierce, guttural guitar work and serious drum work.

yeah I know it's just the 3 EP's, but I hadn't picked up the first two, so it's all new to me. And I like it a lot. It's a nice divergence. I like that he's got enough sideprojects to explore different sounds and then it feels like Deftones is all those sides mashed up in a blender.
