Messageboards are forums for discussion, not popularity contests. I thought the people on this board may be different than a radio-friendly, top 20 bands, messageboard. I'm being proved wrong.

Noone said this thread was a popularity contest. But seeing as you have brought it up... it is. Yeah, this thread was a joke, and I don't think anyone saw it as anything different. The ones who may not have laughed with you are most likely the ones who are sick of seeing the same names up on the screen like them names take some solace or comfort in being popular on an internet forum - like that makes them victors, or some shit.
