I suppose it makes sense, though. If you can't hate someone for the tone of their voice, what is there left to hate?

gmku 07.11.2006 01:39 PM

You just wouldn't understand. How can I explain the sex appeal of disguising our beer bellies inside Old Navy T-shirts tucked into khaki shorts with brown leather belts. Our womens are all over us when we get up in that.

acousticrock87 07.11.2006 01:39 PM

It's really because we just have no morals. We're utterly devoid of them, by nature. All of us.

gmku 07.11.2006 01:42 PM

We're utterly devoid of all fashion sense as well.

I hate stereotyping but some of you come across as being vacuous to say the least. And why do you dance like that?

gmku 07.11.2006 01:43 PM

Nike running shoes and white calf-length socks. Oversized polo shirts, always tucked, of course. Combover hair.

Some of you are really in deep need of a makeover,i tell you.

gmku 07.11.2006 01:50 PM

Seriously. My neighbor mows his lawn w/ his polo shirt tucked in. Sorry, that's just wrong. Even for a hetero.

porkmarras 07.11.2006 01:51 PM

My friend is thinking of marrying one of your lot.Her parents are not too happy about it but it seems like they'll go along with her decision in the end.Fingers crossed.

Well, I wouldn't say vacuous, but we don't care if you're heterosexual or not - we will assume you are, and go out of our way to create awkward situations until you admit your heterosexuality. So you'd better just keep your distance, and not acknowledge us. You wouldn't want to send the wrong signal.

You see? That's why a lot of gays don't like you.You don't take no for an answer,eh?

Believe me, by the end of the decade we'll have ushered in bestiallity, and no one will be gay anymore.

Glice 07.11.2006 02:37 PM

I do not have the gay. I am however, frequently mistaken for one. Some people find it easier.

You know, it's never been easy having the straight. I quite enjoyed games. When all the other boys were practising their mincing, I was out playing football and practising my wolf-whistles in the playground all on my own. It was hard telling my parents, but I think they always knew I could potentially reproduce, and they still have a hard time with the potential repurcussions with that. I understand that. I just want some love. I can't help being the way I am.

Damn it, it's the way God made me, and if you can't accept that, well, I'm just going to listen to my hardcore records with my other straight friends. I still like Erasure though.

Might you be biheterosexual then?

Actually, I don't like football, I like to dress nice (but not too decadently) and I often shower. I like gay music. In a lot of ways, I'm incredibly gay, except I don't actually want to put my willy near other people's willies. Fallen at the last hurdle.

Luckily, I have lots of gay friends, and am somewhat adept at picking up hags.

Metrobiheterosexual then?Go on,keep me going honey.

Glice 07.11.2006 03:25 PM

Yes. I also have old man tendencies - I like real ale, bad jokes (as if that wasn't utterly apparent from my general posting tendencies), moaning, and ocassional lapses into letching at the 'Mmm...isn't that a little...wrong?' types.

porkmarras 07.11.2006 03:28 PM

Ok you are Biintrosexual then. There aren't many in the world but every now and then you can spot one.Have you ever met someone with the same sexual tendencies as you before?

Not many bars, plenty of internet forums...

[Now there's a damning indictment.]

gmku 07.11.2006 03:47 PM

I'm kinda like you, Glice. I hate football, in fact. And I feel the need for a shower if I break even a little sweat. I also like real ale, I invest a little money in my wardrobe (not huge amounts but enough to look presentable) and I get accused of making lame jokes all the time.

And I know that wearing a T-shirt or polo tucked is just, well, wrong.

I think I must also be biintrosexual, whatever the hell that means.

Haha. No offence, but I'm not even legitimately an old man though. On the other hand, I know I'm going to be one of those cuntish Dads who listens to complete rubbish and is generally quite loathsome and utterly convinced that I am right. So I think you win overall.

Carnality is a wilted rose, left skeletal and bony, in a dusty summerhouse window.

Sounds a bit painful to me.

If I was gay, and in the closet, I would totally come out in this thread.

choc e-Claire 04.04.2019 08:18 PM

I'm doing my gay duties for SYG.

I'm also getting mad at this comment from 2006. Sorry.

respectfully trying to ask, because where else would i without getting crucified? twitter? lmao. this is a safe space when tesla is not around.

so, my question: aren't gay and trans actually NOT the same thing? if so i'm confused by your and chocky's statements.

actually, i don't know where chocky stands these days. i don't think she does.

anyway i claim no claims, i'm only asking please help me understand. i'm superfucking ignorant and would like to be less of a dunce.

thanks in advance, friends. and forgive any involuntary foot in mouth disease. thanks!

d.sound 04.13.2019 04:15 PM

I can only speak for myself. As a transgender woman who is mostly attracted to other women, cis or trans, I'd categorize myself as lesbian/gay. I might be a percent bi though. I wouldn't completely rule out dating trans men or non binary. About 0.1% of cis men are cute if they are effeminate enough, but I don't see myself dating one.

!@#$%! 04.13.2019 04:55 PM

oooh... i see

but wouldn’t the fluidity be more “queer” than “gay” proper?

i tend to think of gay as a more of “cis men attracted to cis men”, and lesbians same deal, but that’s from a time when things were more, i don’t know—stereotyped?

anyway, i like how language has to develop to catch up with reality. thanks for the answers.

d.sound 04.13.2019 05:20 PM

I don't understand what queer is honestly! I'm 37 myself and queer was an offensive slur for most of my life. I associate the word with being shoved into a mud puddle in middle school.

A cis woman i had a crush on declared herself queer on facebook on coming out day. I asked her about it. Turned out she had only ever dated cis men. She was open to dating cis/trans women but was used to the male dynamic. A few months later she started dating a cis guy...

!@#$%! 04.13.2019 05:42 PM

damn... i'm so sorry about the abuse. uffff...

but i thought that queer had long been reconquered from slur status? been hearing it uttered proudly since at least the 90s. the Q in LGBTQ. no?

ah, shit, such a minefield... this is precisely why i have to ask. im sorry if it was offensive to you.

acquaintances: i know this married couple: a trans woman and a trans man. she calls herself queer, and they call themselves a "heterosexual" couple, but like that, with the quotation marks, know what i mean?

anyway i haven't asked them, but i think if i called them a straight couple they might take it as an insult, as an erasure of their identities or something? anyway, they're very cool people, and smart as fuck.
