I think we've found the problem.I started on safe mode but it looks like my avast free anti virus is worth nothing and i have spyware and possibly aids on my hardrive.I need antivirus suggestion now please.Where can i get a free one(for the time being) and get rid of this stuff?

Get the one that I linked on page 1. It works great.

adaware isnt anti virus.
adaware is for ads. spydoctor or spybot is for spyware.
if you want a free ANTIVIRUS checker/remover, i would suggest AVGfree.
google it.
ive never used it, but my friends who is a complete and utter pc nerd swears by it as a piece of free software.
id suggest installing avg free for viruses, adaware for ads and spybot for spyware.
run all of them on staartup every few days and if your pcs decently fast you wont notice they are scanning. this way you remove everything straight away and its easier to keep yr pc nice and clean.
or you could get a mac and forget about viruses for a while.

porky, im not sure if your sorted yet, but if yuo still wanna back up your stuff, its pretty easy to open up yer pc and disconnect your harddrive, open up a freinds pc and plug it into his hardrive and run it as a "slave" .
you can transfer any files onto his harddrive then wipe yours and start over. i didnt read all the thread so maybe its too late for that anyway.

get yourself AVG Free Anti Virus and make sure you set it so that it updates itself automatically
then get Spybot Search and Destroy also free and run it every other week.

both kickass free software, they are all i use and i never have problems.. (touch wood)
