When Wanda Jackson sings the line:

"Gonna walk right down that street just like a bulldog drummin'"

in falsetto, in Searchin'.

porkmarras 09.09.2006 05:59 AM

The way this record starts!!!

Onani Nic 09.09.2006 09:43 AM

The chorus of Man of War's Kill with Power

"Kill with Power DIE DIE"

Gulasch Noir 09.09.2006 09:54 AM

i remember when i first listened to the number song by dj shadow i played it like 10 times in a row. I'm not kidding. Maybe it was 8 times, but it's still pretty much. The number song also doesn't use up as easy as the song with the organ. Both party classics, though!

"The new beat! The new beat! The new beat! The new beat! The new beat! Thank you *sound of mic hitting the ground*"

Anngella 09.09.2006 06:48 PM

-The chorus in Sleater-Kinney's "Oh!"
-In Fugazi's "Waiting Room" towards the end when he starts being more engergetic.
-In Daisy Chainsaw's "Hope Your Dreams Come True," the last 45 seconds or so are great, she gets real energetic.
-Bikini Kill's "White Boy" is a great overall song, but I love the "it's hard to talk with your dick in my mouth" part.
-When Kat screeches really loud in Babes In Toyland's "Jungle Train," it gives me major goosebumps.
-In "Dirty Boots" when it gets all energetic & stuff.

And of course,
Quote:

-"One two one two one two titty!"

Norma J 09.09.2006 06:49 PM

'Sitting in the waiting room ahhhhaaaa'

porkmarras 09.09.2006 06:57 PM

2:30 seconds of Sonic Youth's 'Disappearer'.New York guitars at work indeed.Probably one of the acest moment of listening to music ever.

k-krack 09.09.2006 10:04 PM

Morrissey's little yelp at 1:04 of This Charming Man
the first minute or so of Fugazi's Do You like Me (the noisy, lowmixed jam thing)
In ATDI's Invalid Litter Department, the backup vocal "Dancin' on the corpses ashes!" (the last one, where he yells ashes) and the solo in this song.
also ATDI, Manequin Republics bassline, especially the sort of...double stop parts, where the bass goes "bowwboww really low and chorusy" and the dueted vocals.

hey alex 09.09.2006 10:37 PM

when bob dyaln yelps "oh momma can this really be the end... to be stuck inside the moobile with the meemphis blues again" and when he says "they asked for me for collateral and I pulled down my pants"

the first lick of the stooges first lp

the lead guitar in the velvet underground's "i can;t stand it"

toxic johnny 09.15.2006 06:33 AM

The acoustico back and forth feedback intro to Ghost Bitch.
Patti Smith's impassioned verbal intro to Hey Joe.
Steve Shelly's first snare during the intro to Pink Steam is one of THE best examples of genius timing that I have ever heard.
The suicide ride section of 30 Seconds Over Tokyo by Pere Ubu.
Kim beautifully purring "Hey Alice!... it's just a kitten" during Contre Le Sexisme.
The crisp sharp fizz of any Chrome track.
Elisa Ambrogio's voice on Shabbelai Tzevi/1666.
The "no no no no no no no no" on Not Bite (Rudolf Grey) by Red Transistor.
The impossibly romantic Sci fi lyrics of Moonage Daydream.
The opening chords of (She's in a) Bad mood.
The brittle scape of Stroke by Charalambides.
The black hole abyss that is Viking Blood by Double Leopards.
The cold chill thrill of Savage Sea by The Pop Group.
The chiming klang of Karen Koltrane.
The 'Sturm und Drang" of Montana Sacra II by Bardo Pond.
The way Richard Hell sings "Spurts" during Love Comes In Spurts.
Thurston's vocal during Satan Is Boring.

I could go on forever... that is the joy of music.

porkmarras 09.15.2006 06:47 AM

I avoided mentioning Sonic Youth so far but i have to say that one of my favourite moments in music ever is when 'Karen Revisited' descends into beautifully textured feedback and the final applause at the end. That's genius genius genius. It perfectly describes the mental state of the character in the song.

whorefrost 09.15.2006 06:50 AM
