Any five Elvis Costello albums. I'll take a bad EC over a good just-about-anyone else anyday. 'Cause I'm a freak.

ps-(I imidiatly thought of a Pavement album, but couldn't pick one. They've never made a solid, consistent masterpiece. Always gotta fast forward a few.)

You'll hear no objections from me, for one, on anything by Coltrane. I worship the man.

Nice! I just heard it on christmas for the first time, and it grew on me so much since

Katy 01.08.2007 03:15 AM

The Stooges - Funhouse
Iggy & The Stooges - Raw Power
Miles Davis - In A Silent Way
Chopin - Complete Nocturnes

and..... I can't decide on a fifth at the moment.

Iain 01.08.2007 07:22 AM

I can't pick 5 at the moment either...

One that I have been listening to a lot recently after owning it for years is Locust Abortion Technician by The Butthole Surfers

FruitLoop 01.08.2007 09:28 PM

Bill Evans - Live at Montreux
Gilberto/Getz
Beck - One foot in the grave
Kid Koala - Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
SY - DDN or NYCG&F, depends on the mood.

Really tough call though, as Bob Hund's "Omslag: Martin Kann" and Amon Tobin "Supermodified" are still regularly in my cd player years after their purchase

Iain 01.08.2007 09:41 PM

I have a friend who really likes Bob Hund and thus I have heard them a few times. They did a so-so cover of Pere Ubu's Final Solution if I remember rightly.

Sorry, rubbish post.

FruitLoop 01.08.2007 09:46 PM

Indeed, and you're right, it's not their best song, though it came out on a slightly obscure 5-song ep. You can see the video here.

Graham Coxon covered them - in swedish! - on some Peel Session a few years back, the song was "Min Trampolin". Quite interesting.

k-krack 01.08.2007 10:40 PM

Godspeed You! Black Emperor ~ Yanqui U.X.O.
Thee Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra + Tra-La-La Band ~ Horses in the Sky
Every Sonic Youth album, to be honest...
At The Drive-In ~ Relationship Of Command
Both Neutral Milk Hotel albums.

Norma J 01.08.2007 10:50 PM

You got the rest of ATD-I catalogue, k-krack?

If not, you should. It's all good.

afterthefact 01.08.2007 10:56 PM

John Zorn - Naked City
Toshinori Kondo - Fukyo (call me crazy...)
GSBE! - any album really
Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me
Pavement - Crooked Rain

-I base these on the fact that they have all been in my 6 disc changer for a while, and I only have one slot that I change CD's in now...

afterthefact 01.09.2007 07:52 PM

bump, cause it's a decent thread
