[Sidewinder Boss spots him]
Sidewinder Boss: Hey. Hey. How many times do I have to tell you? No shirt, no service. Get the hell out of my store. What do you think this is, Club Med?
Doug: It's called America, dude. Learn the rules.
Sidewinder Boss: "Learn the rules?" No, YOU learn the rules. We Greeks invented democracy.
Doug: You also invented homos.
Sidewinder Boss: Fuck you.
Doug: You wish. You gotta buy me dinner first.

Doug: Rock n' roll, baby: Freedom of speech.

look at Al Gore, he went from PMRC's senator spokesbitch in 1985, to teaching about global warming 20 years later

well int he case of gore, i'll consider his transformation complete if he manages to run for the presidency and win :D

as for rudy giuliani, i do not believe him to be a changed person-- he seized the political opportunity of the disaster & ran with it. to me he's the same prick as always...

more of a changed person though is mccaine... though he is far from a saint, and has had a history of corruption, at least he is half decent and makes some ballsy stands. i do applaud his position against torture. but i do not particularly like him, and in the back of my mind i fear he might one day snap and put us all through some dr. strangelove scenario... "precious bodily fluids" and what not... well thats just my own paranoia of course...

hilary clinton is a psycho!
i hadn't even heard of obama before this thread but i did some research and he seems like a good guy. which probably means he'll never be president.

fiscally-definitely...socially, eh, i probably linger towards conservative, but it depends...most of the time, i dont care if gays want to marry...but sometimes i think it could be the downfall of man...abortion is tricky, im against it, but i can see where it could be needed...i believe in life at conception, and anyone who doesn't is an idiot, i was a Bio major for years as well so you have nothing on me.

so, according to your "scientific reasoning", everyone who was a bio major for years (not sure if graduated or not) should agree with "life at conception"?

you know i was a bio major too and did graduate and it seems to me that life is one long continuous uninterrupted chain, in our case alternating between diploid and haploid forms. gametes are very much alive. there is no "beginning". i guess that makes me an idiot?

but anyway, at what point we consider an embryo a "person" and subject to life preservation is another story. for orthodox jews, spilling semen (live cells) in vain is a major religious offence. this includes having sex with barren women.

anyway, blah blah...

no, i listen to them, does it mean i have to agree with them? or 98% of good music/film?....all these artists and hollywood-types are so cliche...

!@#$%!-no, a lot of bio kids i knew were idiots...and i just meant that i have enough background to make an educated decision on the matter....i wouldn't call you an idiot, but you think in the cold-hearted scientist sense...i'll modify my statement to "at conception, a soul is born"....
