that looks yummy but it seems to me duck sauce would overpower crab. yes/no/maybe? |
greek yogurt (plain, full cream), with all kinds of good stuff in it (coconut, hempseed, hazelnuts, pumpkin seed, honey, bee pollen, cinnamon...)
|
Quote:
that stuff is great, i think i'd have to buy it on the interweb though. |

here they sell them at the hippie store, no hysteria, nothing. they're grown in canada (usu. manitoba, the ones we get) |

Uhh...so 2nd time cooking dinner. The grill was cooking so I decided to grill tilapia. butter and lemon...garlic salt and pepper.....came out pretty awesome.
cooked some rice for a side....pretty good for one of my first dinners |
been working all day, so... eggs and bacon for breakfast, eggs and bacon for lunch. ha!
delicious. |
its a party kind of weekend.
asada tacos like fucking crazy. some bomb-beezle bbq chicken legs. some superb tri-tip. then walked in the door and somebody was cooking some great angus chuck steak. Lord have His mercy, I am living way to carnivorously! |
After the holiday weekend that was, the wife and I started a body cleanse / diet on Tuesday. I've NEVER been on a diet or done a cleanse before. Basically, no caffeine, fried / processed food, bread or sugar.
Today's lunch: grilled pork-chop, sweet potao and a salad. |
dude. if you're eating meat or dairy, that's not a cleanse ;)

Maybe I'm mistaken? Like I said, never done anything like this before. For the first three days, we mix this powder with water and drink it in the morning......sort of like drinking Tang. We also take some pills in the evening. After a week or so of this, we stop eating meat for so many days and return to the Tang type drink. All and all, it's a 20 day challenge. I've never made an effort to forgo caffeine, dairy, bread or sugar before, so I'm looking forward to seeing how well it works......so far so good:D |

good meat is as clean a food as it gets. grass-fed beef, pastured pork, insect-eating chickens, wild fishes, all excellent stuff. it's the fucking plants who can't defend themselves (or run away) that poison you instead. |

Meat can be complex to digest, and many people actually have a mild allergic reaction to eating it. For a purer or most effective cleanse veganism is the key. But hey, Bytor is just being nice to his wife, so he can have the Cliff Notes Cleanse ;) |

"purer" "veganism" "nightmares of doom" |

Cliff Notes version or not, I'm already seeing signs of change:eek: My first true challenge will be at work tonight. I've been off for the past week and doing the diet has been easy at home. You see, I'm a huge sweet tea drinker and do most of my sweet tea drinking at work. My wife got me some of those "mix-ins" for bottle water, so I will give those a try. Also, I will be taking a boiled egg, bag of unsalted nuts and some chilled catalope for snacks (lunch) during the overnight hours. As I type, my wife is making whole grain flat-bread pizzas for dinner. They have three different colored bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, purple onions and smell amazing. |

oh mang, sugar is poison. if you wanna burn fat, teach your body to burn fat. EAT BUTTER. mmmmm... butter! |
Quote:
This is true, its also more addictive than cocaine. |
Quote:
it fucks your metabolism and makes you dependent. starches are the same shit. even the so-called "healthy" whole-grain ones. KILL THEM. KILL THEM ALL. |
Quote:
The whole-grains no. They are balanced with fats and proteins. Bleached flour? Yes. It is essentially pure refined sugar. Fruits are sweet, but the sugars are simple enough so as not to cause those peaks in blood sugar levels. Whole grains=good. Overly refined grains=sugar. Sugar=dangerous, may even turn out to be the leading cause of death in the developed world.. (not to mention that the sugar plantations of the 13th century are also the origins of chattel slavery) Also note: Salt is equally insidious. |
fruits rule.
whole grains are caca unless used to make delicious beer and liquor. speaking of which, it's time to go get plastered. |
You must spread some Reputation for taking it seriously and surely making his wife very happy around before giving it to Bytor Peltor again.

Go vegan for a week, you'll be PRAYING to the Virgin for some hearty, filling, substantive whole-grain, thick, dry, bread. But I can't disagree with making some great Stout or Porter from it neither ;) |
A crab cake with some read beans.

plums
|
Enchiladas......it's what's for breakfast - yum!
|
My wife and I went to a Hawaiian food place and I finally tried this thing which I had seen on Bizarre Foods.
It was DELICIOUS. $1.25. I could not believe how much I liked it. Growing up in Puerto Rico we ate Spam when the money was tight. |
|
i BELIEVE those are TUnas. Annoying fuckers to eat.
|
Quote:
not at all and they are DELICIOUS. really not hard to eat if you don't try to bite the spikes or whatever the fuck they are called (thorns?). you just peel the fuckers with a knife like this: cut off the ends first, then cut a gash in the middle like a meridian and stick your thumbs in it-- it peels right off perfectly unwrapped. takes seconds really. --- gonna heat up some pork chili for breakfast. with an egg or two on top. teh win. --- ps that was good. finished it with a mango. |
with a margarita or two :)

couscous and veggies
