was trying to watch a bit of madrid-psg but couldn’t really get into it. busy & stuff.
will push harder for my afternoon slack later. |
I think we can all agree that we're glad that PSG didn't make it through to the quarter finals.
PSG really were rough last night. How many misplaced passes, and terrible attempts at a goal did they have? |

You gonna watch the Spurs/Juventus game? Ie/the only one with anything to play for. |

so that's the famous harry kane
that was a penalty not called .. nice good game so far .. well deserved goal by spurs who are doing more, but juve deserved that penalty as well --- 2nd half with the fouls, 3 yellow cards in less than 10' span, juve starting to show frustration ... HIGUA HIGUA HIGUA!!! ... hooooleeeee fuck dybala .. chiellini on fire this second half and now the fouls flying the other way lol ... holy fuck that goalpost ha ha ha ha ... great game. glad i watched. ps lichsteiner in was the key |
Dybala and Higuain doing absolutely NOTHING all game and nicking those goals. Gutted for Tottenham they played great.
|
Yeah, I felt bad for Spurs yesterday, as they played really nice football for the major part of the game.
|
Im a Tottenham man, but if we're gonna go out to anyone im glad it was to Gigi Buffon and Chielinni,

that clip of Chiellini and Buffon celebrating the clearance? Yeah, it was top class. When i was playing sunday league i was a defender so I wanted to be Nesta or cannavaro. |
bayern just started its weekly practice match vs hamburg
then they meet besitos mid-week doesn’t look like a ton of strain, to be franck — of course vidal gets yellowcarded at minute 3. lol |

Just watched the Man Utd/Liverpool derby. Gotta hand it to Mourinho and the team. They shut out Liverpool perfectly. Ashley Young was especially brilliant against Salah.
One thing I'll say, why the hell would you not have your tallest defender (VVD) marking Lukaku. Asking Lovren to be reliable is akin to asking Sev not to get upset about Blade Runner and the Oscars. |
lol bayern 6 hamburg 0 after lewandowski shot a penalty into the stands (but he made up by scoring another). this is too fucking funny.
— leverkusen-gladbach in an hour should be a lot more contested lol tomorrow red bull plays stuttgart and dortmund plays frankfurt and that should make for a very nice morning (well, morning here) |
The FA will throw the book at West Ham after what happened today.
|
leverkusen 2 gladbach 0 was soooo much fun
relentless back and forth. could have been a 4-4. — holy shit i am reading about jamón west |

They should throw the book at West Ham, but not for the actions of the pitch invaders. That stadium looks like the most soulless place in the world when they play. |
There's so much wrong with the club and there has been for years, but Sullivan really is killing it from the inside out.
|
Its horrible to see, you seen this? I feel like crying just seeing this and im not a West Ham fan

Yeah, even Brooking's being drawn into the politics now. Not sure where it's all gonna end. The relationship between the owners and the fans has never been great but it's beyond repair now, surely. And neither side is budging. Although as a small peace offering, I can see Sullivan standing down as club director.
|
at halftime of a nice stuttgart - rb leipzig, 0-0 so far but contested and entertaining. leipzig is 6th stuttgart 10th currently.
kinda sad to see ex-bayern badstuber and gomez as stuttgart players, but eh, at least they’re working, and stuttgart isn’t fighting relegation this year so far. badstuber as angry as ever ha ha ha ha. this mercedes benz arena seems like a sweet stadium too, at least in the wide shots. jogi the booger eater in attendance |

He's also being talked up as potential replacement for Wenger. |
Quote:
anyway if you want a nice game dortmund v. frankfurt starting soon. theyre 4th & 5th respectively — fn first half! dortmund attacked relentlessly from the start, scored at 13’ from a pulisic cross to schurrle (though it was an own goal by a frankfurt defender), and then it calmed a little but not really. |
holy shit dortmun frankfurt ends 3-2, a goal for each team on injury time.
batsuahyi finally wakes up dortmund leaps ahead on the table |

— so, anyone watching man u/sevilla today? |
i got bored with the ongoing 0-0 and tuned out, just checked results and sevilla ahead! ima catch up now...
-- guess caught the right part of th game after all looking at the game timeline man u had such few shots on or off target the whole game whereas sevilla had many more. and saw the replays—nice goals so looks like a well-deserved result. |
Missed it yesterday but settled in now to watch chelsea barcelona
|
im on the road and can’t see it. baaaaaaaah!
|
Barca 1 up after 3 mins. Messi
aaaaaand now 2-0. Dembele but Messi's pass to him was just genius. aaaaaaaaand 3-0. Messi. So Barca 4-1 Chelsea, agg. Messi and Suarez seem completely in tune with each other. Suarez finds space for him so intelligently. Chelsea weren't that bad, but Barca just pounced on every mistake. I would absolutely LOVE the final to be between Barca and Man City. |
oh man ha ha ha and stupid neymar didn’t want to be there because of his massive ego
ha ha ha ha ha the fuckin dipshit dont know about man city barca final— pep would bow before his masters as he did before. ![]() hmmm im still sore about it i guess lol what else. oh yeah bayern v. rb leipzing tomorrow. leipzig isn’t doing that great this year though but they’re always deadly. today a bunch of competitive mid-table games don’t know which one to pick yet. |
superfun 1-1 gladbach-hoffenheim first half including an early hoffenheim goal, gladbach coming back to tie, and a handball video controversy, all in the context of a very animated mid-table contest.
— they ended up 3-3 and it was a great game!!! but the wolfsburg-schalke followup was dullsville and i spaced it out eventually |
How has no one mentioned the champions league draw? Annoying that Liverpool/City have drawn together. It is, however, looking like it's gonna be the usual suspects in the semis which is so fucking annoying.
Gotta hand it to the Europa league. At least you never know who's gonna be in the semis or the finals |
oh i didn’t know/didn’t watch
let me be lazy here and ask—what happened? |
Barcelona v Roma (first leg, 4 April, second leg 10 April)
Sevilla v Bayern Munich (first leg 3 April, second leg 11 April) Juventus v Real Madrid (first leg 3 April, second leg 11 April) Liverpool v Manchester City |
is it just me thinking this or has bayern been getting sort of a free pass all along here?
i mean sevilla is a nice team but... it’s not real madrid or juve (that there is a final-caliber match). and before that, they played besitos? lol i would have liked to see bayern vs kloppo for some reason (an easy match too but it would have historical echoes) so what’s different from europa? i dont know |
Quote:
I wouldn't call Liverpool an easy draw at the moment. Their defence isn't great but their front 3 is a goal machine. Watch out for Mo Salah. |
Quote:
True, but besides the supporters of the teams involved, does anyone really care about the Europa league? |
Quote:
ok! i’ll make a note of it. kloppo always ran a goal machine! and what fun it was to watch. Quote:
honestly, i think it’s starting to catch on. at least the finals? or the final stages? wasn’t liverpool in this league last year? didn’t it make news? and now they’re in the champions. so is sevilla, who won i think 3 times recently (sorry not sure of exact number). but they made a name for themselves there. not sure if speaking for myself alone, and not gonna lie and say i’ve been paying attention, but i think the europa is starting to accumulate a bit of prestige. not huge prestige. but a bit. and some lore as well. it’s not a disreputable competition. and it has some attractions. |
The Europa has a reputation in England at least for being too long and unnecessarily demanding on the teams involved. But winning it does give direct entry to the CL next year so there is an incentive beyond just winning that trophy. If only they didn't have to play a million games to do it while simulataneously trying to cope with the demands of the Prem.
If you're limited in what you can watch, though, I can understand its appeal. There just needs to be a way to streamline the process a bit. |
