i've never experience anything more radical then a minor flood here. (really just a lot of rain and the streets sorta flooded.)

Hip Priest 08.31.2006 01:01 PM

I love it when that happens. I love any weather other than heat, really.

k-krack 08.31.2006 01:04 PM

i dislike rain. and to be honest, thunder and lightning andd bad weather frighten me. not the t&l itself, but what could happen. (my paranoia, see.)

Hip Priest 08.31.2006 01:06 PM

Fair enough. I did start to worry about the potential consequences a bit when we bought our own house, because suddenly it was us who'd have to pay for things! I've always loved 'bad' weather (which I see as 'good' weather, 'cause I don't like the heat) since I was a tiny little thing.

k-krack 08.31.2006 01:10 PM

y'know, i went through a stage of trying to like rain... i couldn't. i mean, i like to look at it, but then paranoia kicks in, and i start to feel like a thunderstorm.. tornado will happen. ohhhh, and when there was a "tornado warning" i nearly pissed myself. i start to feel sick, and was looking out the windows,. half-expecting there to be a funnel cloud a few miles off.

Hip Priest 08.31.2006 01:14 PM

If you have the potential escalation to worry about then it's a different matter. I know that where I live things won't get worse than heavy rain/wind, so there's not much to worry about. Things sometimes get worse (freeze, minor hurricane etc) but rarely and not for very long.

k-krack 08.31.2006 01:17 PM

yeh.. my mom (knowing full well my fear for everything) on the day of this warning, she was off at my grandma's, and she called me and... i don't remember the exact words she used, but something to the effect of "watch out for tornados!" and "if you see a funnel clud, take the dog and cat to the basement!" (sounding very sarcastic and jerkish.) i could have killed her.

We don't think of Canada as having weather like that - we'd think of Canada as cold (or 'nice', if you're me). It certainly doesn't get reported over here.

k-krack 08.31.2006 01:33 PM

ahaha. is it not equally as north as the GB?... ** i checked... at parts it is i guess...? anyays, canada, at least where i am, had incredibly hot summers, and very cold winters.

Hip Priest 08.31.2006 01:38 PM

We always hear about hurricanes etc from the more equatorial regions. I'd like to go somewhere with extreme cold - I have a weird metabolism, and I've never felt really cold. But I feel the heat more.

schizophrenicroom 08.31.2006 07:34 PM

i'm cold right now.

Cantankerous 08.31.2006 07:37 PM

it's cold outside.

Danny Himself 08.31.2006 07:39 PM

Our heating system is finally fixed. I'm toasty. :]

Cantankerous 08.31.2006 07:40 PM

by "cold" i mean 65 degrees F. usually it is 100 degrees outside at this time of year.

Danny Himself 08.31.2006 07:42 PM

Well I'm on the dark side of the earth right now, so yeah.

England.

Cantankerous 08.31.2006 08:04 PM

we're in the same hemisphere, dork. it's dark outside here too.

Danny Himself 08.31.2006 08:05 PM

I am what... 5 hours ahead of you? I get night before you do. Hemispheres have nothing to do with it, dorkette.
