so i asked ted, we got to the social for 5:30 and he got there right around 5:45, if they could play "me and mia".
third song of the night? FUCKING ME AND MIA. he said "i'm dedicating this to jade, i'm trying to find her" and i'm.. three feet to his right?, so i yelled "i'm here!" and he said "this one's for jade!" and oh my god it was perfect. what an awesome night. they all loved sean's drawing of them. whoo. |

indeed :) they kicked us out promptly at 12:15 (all non-band people and roadies had to leave) but oh man. it was such a good show. they played all of my favorites. i got to hear "where have all the rude boys gone?" again and with ted about THREE FEET AWAY FROM ME my ears are still ringing. i had to scream to talk to the boyfriend.

it was awesome!! i talked to the singer chick a little, i proposed them to do a split with monosodic, and they said they were under contract but they will see if they can release stuff outside of their label.
they played a great show, they have amazing songs...i felt jealous, they were so good and playing out of town, made me miss having a band. |
oh, awesome.
the setlist was really perfect last night. they played "the high party" for this girl we were hanging out with (she got there the same time as us), "timorous me" during the encore, "counting down the hours".. everythng. hey victor! |
i was going to ask you but though it didn't happen already.
