I would add AR Kane to thee 4AD list. Only with them for 2 12" singles, but damn, those tunes are good.
Also: B Party and M.A.R.R.S. |
Oh yes! Red House Painters, i totally forgot about them!! Rollercoaster is my personal favourite. I always think that American Music Club were on 4AD too, because of their close associations with Red House Painters.

Not really, I've never been one of those people that buys music on the strength of a band name or label. Their output tends to be inconsistent. I tend to wait until I've heard the music and make a decision based on that. There are a few artists that I've found to be consistently excellent - Loop, EN, Nick Cave and TG and of course SY, but I don't own everything ever released by them, just the stuff I like. I have a friend who is a Factory fanatic though, he has just about everything it's possible to have that has a Factory catalogue number. I guess everyone needs a hobby :) |
the breeders i could listen to "pod" over and over and be a happy lad

Pixies. Birthday Party are sweet too.
|
"other" because of Bauhaus.
their cover of Dead Can Dance's Severance rocks my world. I think I have almost every Bauhaus release on vinyl somewhere in my closet.... good times. |
I forgot Bauhaus was on 4AD, because I forgot Beggar's Banquet and 4AD were closely tied.
Would you count Tubeway Army as 4AD? |
Pixies. I have yet to get an album by the Birthday Party
|
What are you waiting for? The Birthday Party kick ass.
|
pixies, cocteau twins, birthday party or pale saints. any of them really, but voted for pale saints because they're not as famous as the others.
