I used to work for a company who dealt with advertising for a medical firm. I was once, er, fortunate to see a copy of The Lancet with graphic pictures of advanced syphilitic vaginal decay. To say it put me off my dinner...would be a lie. Still, those pics were damn horrible.

The last thing I bought was a black and white hardback photography book of ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov. (RRP of £40. I got it for £12, brand new, still in shrink wrap.)
