Okay, how's about THIS:
![]() |
when i'm drinking, i never have the choice of music since it usually happens at a bar, a party, a friend's house, etc. and i don't like driking alone in my house so i can't answer the question properly.
however, once we got pissed at a friend's house and they put the t.a.t.u. with "all the things she said" on repeat and from like 10 or eleven that night until like 5 or 6 in the morning, that's all we listened to for the whole time. it was a very bizarre experience. |

Dude, just keep the phone handy in case you end up needing to call the crisis line! I listened to that album once in the '80s with a friend when we were both tripping on acid and it seriously fucked him up. I must admit I, on the other hand, was kind of getting off on it, which is pretty scary in retrospect. I did manage to talk him down some, so I don't have to feel too evil. I don't really get drunk these days, but albums that fit the bill for me would be Dirty Deeds by AC/DC, Let it Bleed by the Rolling Stones, Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney, and anything by Dead Moon. |
Stormtroopers of Death - Speak English or Die
or more recently Municipal Waste - The Art of Partying fuck listening to indie when drinking. Thrash is the only option |
Dead Kennedys - Give me convenience or give me death
|
violent femmes - violent femmes
great for drunkenly ranting along and/or dancing around like your legs are made of cheese |
Flying Burrtio Brothers - "The Gilded Palace of Sin".

as long as its got Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye its fine by me
|
The first time I got really drunk (like... last month), it was Hot Hot Heat - Making the Breakdown (I just bought it that day, it was the first time I listened to it) and the Blood Brothers - Burn, Piano Island, Burn.
Last time, we couldn't get the ipod thing working, but we were trying sooo hard to listen to the Blue Album by Weezer, and I really wanted some Confusion is Sex that night... |
I don't drink, but I always imagined Tom Waits would be perfect for drinking alone, especially albums like Closing Time, The Heart of Saturday Night, and Small Change. Maybe his mid-80's albums too. I found it pretty surprising that no one has mentioned him yet. Maybe Tom Waits isn't that great to listen to when you're drunk like I thought he was?
