I was waiting for someone to say this. I find it degrading to the term. There`s tonnes of sites on it.

Nation of Ulyssess? Really? I'm surprised anyone would put them in with emo... original emo, I mean.... I have heard Heroin, Rites and the like, so don't confuse me with a ' i <3 McR type'... but really?

There is only one Nation of Ulysses.

Yeah I agree. I know what real emo is. But real emos are an extreme minority and anyone who is called emo now is not part of that. I actually heard someone tell me a while ago, "I don't like Funeral for a Friend but you have to respect them because they invented emo and there would be no emo without them." Everyone agreed. I was not pleased to say the least. I don't think any of these 'emos' even know who Rites of Spring are. I do like emo music alot but I'd never be able to say that to anyone now.
:fuckyou: :fuckyou: :fuckyou: :fuckyou:

That's reasonable. When you say that you like emo, everybody's perspective is different on it and 99% of people would probably think you're referring to the stereotypical misconception of emo, and then it's annoying trying to describe the true definition of the word and successfully convince them what it is. I just say I don't like emo, because I barely like any of it, with little exception to Daitro, Raein, and Off Minor.

rites of spring are cool. fuck all these asymmetrical-haired, tight-jeans-wearing bitches.

Emo used to be good music. Think Jehu, Heroin, Swing Kids, Rites of Spring, and the likes. Now its too often confused with bands like Dashboard and others.

For the record, I wear girl jeans, small t-shirts and such.

I don't have the glasses though.

sonikold 03.22.2006 01:52 PM

i saw a kid a while ago with pants so tight it almost made me sterile.

Paperhouse 03.22.2006 01:54 PM

I'm unfortunate enough to be so thin that I look like I'm drowning in anything that isn't really small, so I wear lots of girls' clothes too. And have (naturally) very dark hair. And wear glasses, but they're wire-framed, so I look more "nerd trying to be k00l" than emo. But since they're on the edge of falling apart, who knows what the future may hold.

In conclusion, don't be too judgmental based on appearance, even though I am.

I see no problem with wearing tight jeans; I do myself and nobody seems to be bothered. I don't see how it was incorperated into the misconcieved emo though.

Inhuman, you look so scene in your pics! No offense or anything but the bandanas? Total sXe thing. When I go to hardcore shows all my friends where bandanas and dance their asses off.

I wear girl jeans because I find everything else very uncomfortable. And because I have a nice ass.

HaydenAsche 03.22.2006 02:05 PM

Oh Em Gosh! And your myspace profile? Wow.

Hahaha, girl jeans are comfortable, but I also like the style. The bandana's are a bit of a problem downtown, since they're red and I have ran into problems with african americans thinking that I was part of a gang. Other than that, I just enjoy the style!

Thanks! I hope it didn't take too long to load for you, it does for most people. I'm in graphics design in college, so I have all the tools in the world to make it :p

HaydenAsche 03.22.2006 02:16 PM

No. My computer is badass. It popped up almost instantly.

You guys are all just as bad as the jocks who used to hassle me in high school for having a funny haircut (and believe me, my friends and I in mid-80s high school looked an awful lot like some of these kids), except you're all supposed to be "cool" and "tolerant."

It's fucking fashion, for god's sake. We will all wear something or have a hairstyle we regret later, only to have it suddenly seem kind of fun/cool/kitschy about 15 years after it seemed embarrassing.
If this is not the case for you, you either never take any risks or you favor a bland "safe" look that no one will ever find worthy of ridicule.

I looked so gross in grade seven...

Savage Clone 12.29.2006 03:28 PM

I'll bet if these pictures were taken in 2005 instead of 1982 a lot of you would be making fun of this guy (well, some of you like to make fun of him anyway, but you know what I mean):
