but why does JO need an opportunity like that if he can do and has done whatever he wants whenever he wants
BECAUSE ITS NOT GOING TO BE HEARD. I delve further into his catalogue and check them out.... |
jim o' was going to be star and he blew it...
|
Everyneurotic is from Mexico
therefore He must be a corrupt drug Lord who mercilessly kills poor pesent children |
"corrupt drug lord" is redundant!
mexican chicks got some sweet ass. |
you're attempting to troll me?

Do you hear any difference in the guitars' tuning between NYC ghosts... and Murray Street ? |
"pesent"
or "peasent" is a person who refuses to embrace the modern world. Many are from European origin. They are probably right in their worldview because they get to avoid semantic Nazis and logic defying posters like Everyneurotic. Whose need to attack on consequence-free internet forums is related to a host of other issues... Which can be concluded (from a brief foray into his want bootleg list) are rooted in issues of bands and years. For example he is looking for a Megadeath music only from 1983 to 1997 and Pink Floyd (especially from 1969-1972). So it seems he indicating to the rest of us that he is not a 'sell out'. In fact he never had the chance to sell out.... See pesent or peasent |
i think you mean "peasant" and your definition is an interesting one but not the right one.
well, first of all, i wasn't attacking you, i was merely noting that your logic for success is retarded since jim o'rourke is one of the most brilliant minds to come out of the music scene during the 90's and is recognized as such which i think many of us think defines "success" more than record sales or articles in glossy magazines. and for your information: megadeth was in a major label for their whole career and i like many of their 90's "pop" albums. and pink floyd i like them best when they were doing long songs with noise and delay instead of cutesy psych pop or grandiose stadium rock. look, you are obviously a 13 year old or something (at least mentally) that just realized there's music outside of american idol but still thinks getting a record contract means success. it's not your fault, you'll grow out of it. |
Are you speaking to me or yourself?
|
i know how to spell peasant and what it means.

some of the lead riffs on murray street and sonic nurse are jim's and not just lee's or thurston's...so he didn't alter their sound but he did play a contributing role in the songwriting dept.! |
I think Jim really brought a lot to Sonic Nurse and Murray street everything kinda went downhill after he left. He was my favorite member when he was in the band.

I still don't get your point of view. It also seems asinine to attack everyneurotic with stereotypes? |
All I know is Murray Street, and Sonic Nurse are my favourite SY records
how much Jim had to do with them sounding the way they do I can't say but they do seem to police themselves a little better on those records if that makes sense, very subtle records |
I see Murray Street and Sonic Nurse as companion pieces. Like NYC F&G and 1000 leaves.
They really are a departure from early to mid 90's Sonic stuff. Murray Street is really hard to grasp. In a few years Murray Street might be seen as a benchmark album. It seems to carry some new century nostalgia.... |
how is murray street hard to grasp? its one of their most accesible and prettiest ablums. i love it, but shit, thatd be one of the first ones i reccomend to someone not into to underground music and trying to get into sy.
