really? or are you fucking around? id say 60 percent of what i listen to is pre-77. |
ll this stones hate, just pick up a copy of exile on main street. its the perfect rock n roll ablum. blues-y, sexy, druggy rockin tunes about love, drinking, getting high, and fucking. it really is the pinnacle of "rock n roll" music if you ask me, after this, traditional rock n roll splintered into millions of sub-genres.

I'm still to hear millions of, erm, sub-genres on a Rolling Stones record, but nevermind, I'll pay more attention next time.
The only album of theirs that I kind of like is ''Their Satanic Majestic's Request'', and that has ''2000 Light Years From Home'' on, which is my favourite song by them. I also like the soundtrack to ''Performance'', even though it's got only one song by Mick Jagger on it. |
not sub-genres of rolling stones. after 1972, there wasn't as much traditional rock n roll bands or records anymore. there was proto punk and eventually punk, prog rock, hard rock, early metal, but not as much straight up white man blues rock n roll, so to me exile is the pinnacle of rock n roll. you missed what i was saying i think.
and yes, satanic magesties rules, such a fucked up record for a band that huge to make. |
