That's a Grateful Dead symbol.

Dancing bears: A series of stylized dancing bears was drawn by Bob Thomas as part of the back cover for the album History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear's Choice).[40] The bear is a reference to Owsley "Bear" Stanley, who recorded and produced the album. Bear himself wrote, "... the bears on the album cover are not really 'dancing'. I don't know why people think they are, their positions are quite obviously those of a high-stepping march."

Hope the Democrates don't shoot themselves in the foot like they always do. Its Obama's to win. McCain is not the Republican's first choice. The religious right don't like the guy, they far right don't like the guy. They don't trust him, and I don't think swing voters are going to be too inclined to vote Republican after Bush Jr's tarnishing of the party. Democrates on the other hand are notorious for fucking up these elections royally. I honestly can see Obama being just as popular as Bill Clinton was when he ran. Its going to be an intresting year.

It's possible she is just wrangling her position for the VP spot......if I was Barack, there is NO WAY she would be my VP. H being VP = BILL being around the Whitehouse. Reporters asking BILL what he always thinks or what he would do if he was still President. SURE - past President's get asked these questions all the time, but they are not in the Whitehouse when they give the answers.

Legally - H might not have a leg to stand on, but I do see a BIG challenge on the way.

Mostly, I think she wants to get those people to go to her website and make a donation so she can pay back her humungous debt to herself. I think you are right there will be a fight, but it will be a fight for her to try to get the VP slot. I think Barack's campaign is smarter than that though, but she might make it really ugly. She makes everything really ugly.

Nothing's going to change. The best we can hope for is that it gets no worse, and that, unfortunately, may be the best reason to vote for Obama. McCain will certianly make it worse. Unfortunately, Obama or any Democrat is not going to make it better.

if Americans would just have standards and stick to them, then perhaps there could be change, but if everyone just picks someone in contrast to another, what the fuck is the point and what the fuck will change? Pick what you believe in with no apologies, when I was a little kid in school they said stand up for what is right, even if you stand alone, where is your integrity america?

"no one remembers, no one remembers, no one remembers ol Marcus Garvey"

Change We Can Believe In.

Unlike the bourgeois [boogie] bullshit that we here from all these punk politicians, His Honorable Marcus Garvey's rhetoric, speachs, lectures, and writings reflect serious shit. Much of what he said has already come to pass, proving the validity of his opinions.

Then Obama would not only get Clinton's friends, but also her numerous enemies... NOT a smart choice. But like others have said above, she could make it really ugly.

Her whole campaign has been the weirdest case of political suicide. I find Obama surprisingly likeable for a public official, but really his base from the beginning was the "anybody but Clinton" votes. Instead of doing something about the large number of people that hate her, aside from a few crocodile tears in New Hampshire that briefly worked, she just seemed to keep inviting more people to hate her as well.

I know quite a few people who started out ready to vote for her who ended up cheering for Obama to make her stop. Now more people who are polled describe her as negative and dishonest than ever before.

Her last few weeks of campaigning she looked absolutely delusional in every photo, like she really thought if she kept saying she could win that it would come true. After all of her posing as a redneck to court the KKK vote, you have to wonder what her chances of staying a successful senator in New York are now, too!

Obama picking her would be about as smart as if McCain were to pick Romney.

pokkeherrie 06.05.2008 04:19 AM

Exactly... she's not very likeable and she'd be an easy target for a republican hate campaign. They must be hoping she gets picked.

Then there's also something else at stake. Obama's been preaching Change all throughout the race. If he'd now bring in the old establishment Clintonians to be his running mates then that could seriously undermine his credibility.
