You're right Danny. The Dyna comp is the only red MXR pedal, and if you can look closer, you can read giga delay on the boss pedal.

nice pedalboard btw.

Yeah it's gotten out of hand - most of these pedals I've gotten within the last few months. I wasn't into pedals for a long time, then it kind of snowballed. I got some good deals on alot of them.

I feel content now, so I'm done buying pedals for a while.

My friend and I both started buying up pedals. He recently got the EH 16 Second Digital Delay and Tube Zipper which are really cool.

CHOUT 06.06.2006 01:20 PM

The Dyna Comp works good as a boost for leads/solos and sounds cool with clean chords. My band is going to start recording some new stuff and I'll probably use it on bass a bit too.

king_buzzo 06.06.2006 01:23 PM

ill trade my wah for your small clone

CHOUT 06.06.2006 01:26 PM

I actually have a Crybaby wah I never use I've had for years. Sometime I'll have to clean the pot because the sweep is really scratchy.

king_buzzo 06.06.2006 01:28 PM

man, they dont sell small clones here. i went up to a guy in a store and asked him if they have a small clone they guy brought me a small stone and started to make the bill. i gotpissed off

A Thousand Threads 06.06.2006 01:36 PM

wow
cool pedals

i have EH Small Clone & Big Muff & Frequenzy Analyzer (ahhhh i love it so much-- ever tried to run vocals trough it? amazing)
Rat II (what´s the difference between all the rats? never got it)

and then i have 2 Boss Ds1 (well, not recommended)

king_buzzo 06.06.2006 01:44 PM

i have the ds1... only for nirvana sound.. nothing else

A Thousand Threads 06.06.2006 01:46 PM

i never use it

king_buzzo 06.06.2006 02:32 PM

i use it cause i have to. i have nothing else.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 06.06.2006 02:49 PM

You should get a blues driver, much more versatile than the DS-1.

CHOUT 06.06.2006 09:19 PM

Aren't Blues Drivers a mellower distortion than the DS-1?

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 06.06.2006 09:22 PM

Well, it is an overdrive that can do distortion as well as subtle boosts. I don't think you can use a DS-1 like an overdrive or a boost.

CHOUT 06.06.2006 10:13 PM

I see.
Here's some cool pedals, especially the Computer Glitch.

"Screens" reminds me of Polvo a little. Good work. Is this before or after the pedal board was finished?

here's my self made pedal board:

I just bought a CH1 from BOSS for a nice price and I'm gonna use it instead of the greenie phaser. the DS1 is not usually a DS1 - I'm getting my DF2 modified. so i'll take pics of the thing when I'll be done!

so Chout man, how didn't you like the CH1? My buddy Matt has the Small clone and it sounds GLORIOUS, fucking SWEET to say the least. So i thoguht - Dammit I don't wanna sound like him. And I got me a used CH1.

Every pedal you see here was bought for real cheap BTW.

The coolest ones being the DSD2 and the DF2 of course!!! I'm proud of those Japanese fuckers!!!

OH and Chout, I'd suggest you to take the power supplies far away from the pedals... they usually generate unwanted hum that close.... just a humble suggestion from a gyu who is about to end up sound school (YAY!)

I don't know if I could justify spending that much money on noisemakers. I'd rather get a cheap pedal and bend the hell out of it.

Nice setup Max. I really like that you have an earplug holder built in! Good idea. I may do that.
As for the Boss CH1, It just wasn't 'deep' sounding enough for me. I think something was wrong with it. The Small Clone sounds better with my Rat than that one did. We cover a Husker Du song sometimes and I can sound pretty close to Mould's tone.

Good luck in sound school! What will that be like? Recording techniques and stuff?

krastian 06.06.2006 10:55 PM

What Husker Du song do you guys do CHOUT? We used to do Something I Learned Today.

CHOUT 06.06.2006 11:23 PM

We do In A Free Land every few gigs usually. I think there's still a live version of it on the Small White myspace below. It's kind of sloppy, we had just learned it.
We played it at our show on sunday, and while we were playing it, I realized Husker recorded the song just a few blocks away from where we were at a studio that used to be around called Blackberry Way. Lots of bands recorded there, including The Replacements.
