I have used/ am using the ignore function. I find it's a nice little reminder to not rise to the bait of certain types. Because I am weak-minded, and I probably harbour severely anti-American sentiments. I may also be a terrorist.

When I don't want to read someone's post, I just skip over it. There isn't necessarily a user that is anywhere near enough of an annoyance to actually block. Besides, I'd feel as if I were missing out on jokes.

The very concept of "ignore list" seems to go against what this board stands for, in a way. People post people eating shit, girls sticking octopus tentacles up their cunt crack, we can say FUCK without it looking like ****, we can post dead people, we can make jokes about... anything... this is a very no-holds-barred board.
