suggestion: taylor mead reading poetry in a public toilet with his feet covered by a carrier bag. Outlaw homo-poetry 60's NY style. While the song plays in the background. |

I think they were actually making fun of younger people who gravitate towards radical politics without really understanding them.
Kinda like Youth Against Fascism... |

The song itself grew on me more and more after repeated listenings. I still think it's one of the weakest on the record, though.

I enjoyed it. A lot

It's a pretty fun, low-budget video, and seems to suit the song pretty well. Nice to know that Tom Surgal directed this. I wonder if he is still drumming these days?

It's not that. I got the video (almost) straight away, especially while recognising 3 or more of the faces in it. I can't be arsed to explain. I just want you to know that I'm hip and I love you. |
I think it's a post-metaphor for non-existentialism. The paint bomb is quite obviously an oxymoron describing the realms and depths of our society, while being quite sober at the same time. So I think this video is mainly a complaint against all those that listen music on shitty soundsystems.

It actually resembles a porn movie: Eon McKai's The Doll Underground--the first (only?) anti-sprawl porn and a damn fine piece of moviemaking. I mean that--it is so interesting to watch, you almost can't, uh, you know... At any rate, pretty much the same idea--girls making and planting bombs. |
Does this mean Ibold can read Japanese?
