Although I hate Bono's 'rock n' roll Jeus' act, Billy Corgan is the single biggest douche-bag in the universe. Fuck that guy.

I also think Bono's a pretty well-spoken/smart dude too from interviews I've watched. Can't really say the same for Billy; just whiny.

Hate both, but Billy Corgan is the biggest douchebag ever, and Smashing Pumpkins are my least favorite band ever.

The whole thing where he pretended to love the Pixies and say how much Surfer Rosa influenced him, yet instead Pumpkins just sound like shitty grunge Dimebag metal who show no influence from the bands Billy claimed "Changed his life".

Not to mention the, "People like Pavement's music, they fall in love with the Smashing Pumpkins' music". Fuck off Billy Corgan.

Bono, aside from radiohead, u2 is the worst thing to ever happen to music

I wouldn't go that far...

I voted Bono bc i hate the way U2 seems to force there way into big events. They're not musicially all that viable anymore or important in a new hip sound kinda way, but they just seem to force their way into premo spots for anything. I think they're determined to be legends ala Stones and it comes across forced...somethin.

Bono gets on my nerves the most, if only because he's everywhere. Fucker really seems omnipresent, throwing his beliefs down the throats of fans who in turn throw them down the throats of everyone else. Seriously, say ya don't like U2 in public, yr going to get some asshole that has to bring up all the supposed good Bono does for the world. And as if secular radio isn't bad enough, they've managed to get their music into churches. Annoying.

I'd rather listen to the Pumpkins, even if I'm not much of a fan. Billy's priorities when it comes to music have always been a bit off. Quitting yr band because "your tired of competing w/ the Brittany Spears of this world" (or whatever it was he said, can't recall word-for-word) makes me wonder why he began making music in the first place.

I'm not voting....tough one. These two individuals, while both easy to be annoyed by, are really different.

A "Bono vs. Vedder" thread would have made more sense (and for the record, I prefer Vedder over Bono....)
