I've no idea what it's like there, but here if you don't have SOME type of health insurance, you pay extra tax. If you have any health insurance, you don't pay that extra tax. You can still claim public benefits if you have privaite insurance. I have basic insurance, which is equal to roughly the amount I'd pay in extra tax, so, I don't think it's an issue. :confused:

I'm such a fucking commie. I really don't mind that things cost money and I don't mind paying so that people aren't rotting in the gutter and I hope there will still be some kind of public system when I eventually get sick and cannot afford to pay for it myself.

The waitresses in the burger joint I frequent share their tips. There's a huge mug next to the till which customers put their tips in, and before closing, one of the waitresses counts the money out equally. Even the grill chef gets an equal share. :)

fyi when you work in a place where a bitch like me actually takes your order, someone cooks the food and a bitch like me brings it to you hot, you keep your tips.
