B'eirth is from In Gowan Ring, and he is a fine elfin fellow indeed. I have heard nothing of them being involved, but I am hardly up on that kind of gossip.

I'm sure I read another Wolf related group the other day but I can't recall what they were called exactly.

Savage Clone 07.05.2006 06:45 PM

all those other wolf bands suck ass except AIDS wolf... my improv/noise band opened for them and they were SICK.

Charalambides are a good band... though i'm not fond of the 1st album "our bed is green", the new one "a vintage burden" is great i think...

I had taken inventory of bands with "unicorn" in their name, and it was up to thirteen! I lost the list, though.

Savage Clone 07.06.2006 06:05 PM

13!
Holy crap.
That's almost as bad as the number of early 80s hardcore bands that had acronyms for names, or included the word "Youth" in their names.

Damn....13 to many.

DJ Rick 07.06.2006 06:07 PM

Does that include the band Youth Youth Youth?

Savage Clone 07.06.2006 06:08 PM

I thought that was just a Generation X tune.

Glice 07.06.2006 06:37 PM

My God that was a rubbish show. They opened with Joy Shapes off of Joy shapes. Which was ace. The rest of the show was shite, with intermittent goodness.

Support was entertaining, liked the lady singer person who had a great stage presence.

Charalambides played to little to make an impression. Oh, they did do a religious song which was ace.

But generally, I'm not looking forward to seeing them at ATP. Ok, but nothing like the rhetoric that's thrown at them.

Toilet & Bowels 07.06.2006 06:45 PM

Humbug!

Nonsense. It were rubbish. Or at least not as good as it could've been. The support band were better.

Damn your eyes!

Toilet & Bowels 07.10.2006 04:54 AM

i thought their london show was ace. i couldn't get my hands on any equipment to tape steffan basho junghans though.

toxic johnny 07.10.2006 08:16 AM

Aaaargh another gig that I've missed this year... I'm pleased that they were ace and I'll see them at ATP.

Ok, so I'm officially very fond of this record now. It's taken me about a million years to get into the swing of it. It's not Haino, and it's not NNCK, but it is a lot better than a lot of the hip things of the moment. Although perhaps I'll get round to liking Wolf Eyes sometime c.2020.

pokkeherrie 12.22.2006 07:50 PM

this one's for you then

I was going to post that video...I just read about it. Beat me to it!
