nnck are fast becoming one of my favorite bands. i didn't give them much of a chance until recently when i bought qvaris on a whim. something clicked all of the sudden and i've been listening to them pretty much non-stop for the last few weeks. great great stuff.

pokkeherrie 05.23.2006 05:28 AM

there's a torrent of a recording from a few weeks ago (rome, italy) up on dime:

Nice....I'll grab that one later.

They were awesome in Berlin. They played twice on two consecutive nights and on the second night it was in this tiny little venue which only sold beer or wine....

Not only is this a great show and a good bit of information, this has also caused me to figure out the whole dimeadozen nonsense, which increases my ability to get 'live shows' by 'bands' (by which I mean porn).

Magublafix 05.23.2006 02:11 PM

i listened to the embryonnck last week, because a friend of me (A thousand threads) bought it and yesterday or so i bought the vinyl of it... and now i love them...

Argh....could any kind soul possibly upload the nnck show from dimeadozen? I can't seem to log into dimeadozen. I thought I had an account but I imagine it may have got cancelled from inactivity

I've only just figured out how to do the torrent thing, and then find the .flac extension for winamp... I'm a techie retard, but if you can explain a simple way of converting .flac to .mp3 then I'll do so.

Unless someone else is less retarded than me.

i was at the first gig in Berlin (volksbühne), and yes, they were wonderful.

i bought qvaris right after the concert... i didn't know their music that music that much before, but i really like qvaris and would like to hear some more...
what i've heard from intonomancy sounded great and i'm also tempted by that embryonnck release...

Perhaps I didn't explain quite how retarded I am with computers? I clicked the link, got scared by the words, and shut the page. What does this thing do? Does it make it possible for me to change files from .flac to mp3? Does anyone want to hold my hand? The internet is cold and I'm scared.

I heartily recommend the embryonnck release and Intonomancy and also Sticks and Stones....

I was also at the Volksbuhne gig and it was indeed great. Did you catch them the next evening at Kule? That was possibly more awesome because it was such a nice intimate venue...and the drinks were cheaper.

o o o 05.23.2006 06:03 PM

no, unfortunately i missed the second evening because i wasn't aware that they were playing two nights in a row in Berlin (i only found out the day after)... it's a shame, i would have loved to see them again and i can imagine how nice it could have been in a more intimate venue...

A Thousand Threads 05.24.2006 02:35 AM

haha
i wouldn´t wash it

maybe they(NNCK) get really famous one day and
then you can sell it on ebay

Iain 05.24.2006 02:36 AM

Sounds like fun at the donaufestival show. At the volkbuhne show Dave Nuss was smashing up paving slabs....he then balanced one of his drums on top of the other and started throwing blocks of concrete at it. And he dripped fake blood on himself as well.

Crikey. I have a lot of buying to do. For the record, letters from the earth is my fave. I've only got 9 of them. Although I'm quite pleased to have that many.

jon boy 05.24.2006 08:41 AM

sticks and stones and qvaris a re both good in my humble opinion but like you i have plenty to hear yet.

_slavo_ 05.30.2006 11:29 AM

i can't help myself
I didn't like that show....or, better said, the music itself.
