I remember the last 100% thread had Chris Lawerence bust in saying "NO!!! Not this again!!! Please, I'm still having nightmares from the last thread!!! I checked it with Thurston, blah blah balh..."

The old board wasn't all that at all.I used to read it almost every day but i never really felt compelled to post on it that much.

i preffered the chaos factor of the old board.

I used to find it pretty tame or maybe i just didn't pay much attention to the arguments that would arise from time to time.

the past 6 months or so have been better than any point in the previous two years

The most noticeable difference between this forum and the former is that this one has more people around at all times of day, and more good people at that.

You used to have to wait for up to an hour for someone to post something, unless there was a row going on.

I find that there are more distinctive carachters on this board.In many ways i find it much more informative musically or non than the other one.

I think this board is far more chilled than the old one. Unless people are talking out of their arses there generally seems a lot more tolerance. There's still plenty of lively discussion, but a lot less vicarious flaming.

I bought some vinyl this morning, so I'm very happy.

Another thing that helps keep this forum moving is the fact that flicking through four different sections means that you naturally see more threads, because I imaging the regular boardies rarely look beyond the first page.
