Good call on Ruins. I'd have to say Lighning Bolt, but Chippendale and Gibson are pretty equal with close to equal stage presence, but slightly leaning to Chippendale.

The stage presence between Chippendale and Gibson has a really fascinating dichotomy, since Chippendale just goes apeshit on the drums and is just going all over the place, whereas right next to him, Gibson is just chilling, looking down at his bass, no headbanging or any real movement, just playing like a madman. And it doesn't bring it down at all, but just really interesting in how it's presented.
Kind of a debatable mention, but Sara Lund in Unwound. Yeah the whole band is incredible, but man, she does a ton of really inventive stuff, she makes the drums sound really fresh, one of my favorites. |

Caballero is an alltime fav. Or was, prior to the modern era.
Battles is acually better now. Not better than old school DonCab, but better than DonCab circa now. |
STANIER is just such a beast. I wouldn't even consider myself a big Battles fan, but they're worth listening to for Stanier.
I am a big high right now so I can't remember the other Damon Che fan, speaking of Don Cab... uh.. BELLINI? Yeah. THeir first album is AWESOME. |
The Monkees. Duh. And The Romantics.
