Good choice. I've thought about getting it along my forearm.

Norma J 08.29.2006 08:14 PM

My chest got somewhat infected, so I got to go in and get it done again.

Edited: I got the 'Fight the Power' fist on my chest.

Cantankerous 08.29.2006 08:15 PM

that sucks. i have a tendency to scar but all of mine turned out alright.

Alex's Trip 08.29.2006 08:17 PM

I don't know why, but tattoos have never appealed to me.

What exactly is 'gonzo'?

piercing hurts so bad if they go too slow. it feels like the worst bruising you can imagine, but all concentrated into one small area.

you know, like hunter s. thompson. gonzo journalism.

Norma J 08.29.2006 08:22 PM

Ahh yes, I was going to ask whether it was that, but I didn't think it was. I have never seen that picture/logo before, and/or relating to gonzo journalism.

I don't think that's true. It depends wear you've been tattooed. There's parts of the body that are near unbearable to get tattooed and of course it's a longer process. I would definitely rather get tattooed as opposed to being pierced, though. For I hate the feeling of getting metal stuck through me, aswell as tattooing be a far more artistic outlet. But being tattooed in general, is more painful. After being tattooed for hours, your flesh is anything but numb, it hurts ALOT more, especially if you're going over the same thing over and over, it's like getting a sowing needle and sticking it in an open wound.

Cantankerous 08.29.2006 08:31 PM

trust me, the ribs hurt like a motherfucker.

Norma J 08.29.2006 08:33 PM

The sternum (spelling?) hurts a great deal, too. That was the one place where people said it cained alot, and it did. Usually the places people say hurt alot, I'm fine with, and vica versa.

Also depends how you are that day. The longest stint for me was 7 hours straight. I wanted to go longer. I went back in the following week or two and was only there for two to four hours and that was enough for that day. And it was on the same tattoo, so it depends. I just go until my tattooist tells me he wants to stop, though.

ozZuB-ginK 08.29.2006 08:42 PM

what about the inside of yr bicep, does it hurt there? I've been playing on getting a tatt there but haven't actually gone for one reason or another..

Cantankerous 08.29.2006 08:44 PM

i don't know, i don't have one there, but the forearm on the inside of the wrist isn't terrible.

Savage Clone 08.29.2006 09:01 PM

I know that ribs and the plunge of your elbow are both incredibly painful for tattooing, but in my own experience I thought the piercing was far more intense. I was tattooed for 3 hours for one of my tattoos, and it was fairly painful in the pit of my knee, but the less-than-a-minute piercing process was definitely more painful.
The rush of endorphines lasted a lot longer though. That was pretty awesome.

Cantankerous 08.29.2006 09:20 PM

i heard that the crease between your ass cheek and leg hurts like hell as well.

Toilet & Bowels 08.29.2006 10:29 PM

i was thinking about getting a drawing of my cat's head with crossbones

k-krack 08.29.2006 10:30 PM

i haven't read this whole thread... but that is bad grammar. "do you have tattoo"
i respond: "no i have tattoo not"

where?
is this the cat with the big head that i said looked sort of angry?

Norma J 08.29.2006 10:53 PM

I have the inside of my bicep done. It didn't hurt me a great deal, but then like I said, others said it has hurt them alot. I've went basically to the edge of my armpit and I didn't find it bad, but again, others do.

Anywhere that is not of alot of muscle is going to hurt more than an area with muscle. Throw in some bone and it adds to the fun.
