So I'm curious how everyone is finding this experience. Have you settled on a "method" for making tapes? Do you pick a theme? Is it just stuff you're currently listening to? Or what? How do you decide what you throw on that tape?
I've had a rough theme for each one.

The first one was CDs from the 'recently listened to' pile. The second one was 'recently bought'. The third was an effort to put less guitars/ people singing in English on it. I'm most pleased with the third. I'll start the fourth this week, possibly tomorrow. |
My fourth tape is totally off the chain.
when is this due?
I might get all up ins on this. When is it due?
Halloween.
I'll decide within the next week.
Both of you really should.
I'm considering just sending a Day Dream Nation tape out.
Say what?
HAHA
it has to be postmarked by then, or arrive in bloketown by then? |
Instead of making a mix. Oh, nevermind. The joke isn't funny once explained.

good one
is there somewhere a thread with comments about previous tapes?
thanks. by the way, pookie collects the tapes, he's in england? why the u.s. people send just $2 while europeans 3 euros??? just wondering...
Put it down to exchange rates or something. Is anyone actually sending from EU countries? Oh, apart from Sun City Girl, I see, that question makes a lot more sense.
i can also send dollars if that's no problem... would be easier since they're notes, not coins like euros...

For example, a person in the US might pay $4 to send the tape to Pookie and enclose $2 for postage from Pookie to somewhere in Europe, while a European would pay the equivalent of $3 to send the tape to Pookie and enclose the equivalent of $3 for postage from Pookie to somewhere in the US. Trust me, I work in finance! |
