Sorry, it just gets on my nerves when a 4th-generation American loses his temper and blames it on "being a hotheaded Italian," or drinks too much and attributes it to "being Irish" or some such. There is ethnicity and there is citizenship of birth.

I get it, but the analogy is not really apt.
Porky is an expatriate Italian who is native to Italy and living in England, while you are the American-born son of a German-born mother, living in the country of your birth.
