Japanese Daydream Nation on Supernatural Organization (SUR LP2) - from a brief Googling, they were a short-lived Japanese label of dubious legality who pressed extremely small runs in the late 80's.
Sadly my attempted snipe lost out to the winner (though I did nab an original numbered Walls Have Ears from the same seller :) )

I haven't seen any mention in discographies about the French Xmas Boxset :

I was slightly pissed about the SONIC YOUTH CD reissue. Don't get me wrong, I thnk the live tracks are great, and the new liners were wonderful. But I woulda released it like this:

CD1: Original EP + Original EP played backwards.

CD2: The bonus tracks they gave us + "the noisefest show"

yeah that would have been good, perhaps one day they will reissue the reissue :D

I was more disappointed in THE WHITEY ALBUM reissue. No bonus tracks at all? C'mon. I didn't even pick that one up. Didnt see the point.

I didn't buy the Whitey Re-Reissue. Is the sound quality better than the 93 re-issue?

I didn't buy the 2006 Psychic Hearts either. Any improvemnets before I splurge?

The SY 82 re-issue was the most pleasent surprise

Supposedly THE WHITELY ALBUM was remastered... but no one (on here at least) ever said it sounded so supperior to the original (which sounds just fine to me!)

As far as PSYCHIC HEARTS, I dont think it was remastered, and the bonus tracks were only on the vinyl.

Of the 3 reissues that came out that day, SY was by far the best.
