hey melly, the maroon 5 fucking make me want to rip my eardrums out
Oh this thread just got hijacked with rave music.
I was here. http://youtube.com/watch?v=NldBY25V-HI |

*claps* Both them and The Feeling should be forced to retire at gunpoint, dammit. |
people are generally surprised that i like/love: kiss, 70s miles, roxy music, t rex, acdc, iron maiden, deftones, whatever
mahavishnu orchestra, elo, fleetwood mad
batreleaser - 70's Miles kills. "Jack Johnson" and "Agharta" are awesomeness supreme.
So it's wrong to be proud to enjoy and celebrate all kinds of music?
Well, alright then!!! |
Chill out Adam, some people seem to really care about how cool the music they listen to it. Unless they are a twat about it, then let them be, who cares.
Oh, and replying to a page ago, Taking Back Sunday aren't too shabby, just a fun pop-punk band. Loved them a few years ago. |
Hm.

it is not wrong to be proud of what you like. but saying it is wrong to be ashamed of what you like is just as bad as being PROUD that you like what you do like. |
I think I trumped you all.
Coldplay was once my absolute favorite band, and I can still pop-in Parachutes* and enjoy it all the way through. Honestly, I listened to that album in its entirety probably 20+ times. Fuck, sometimes you just need a ridiculously sentimental love song. *The only record of their first three albums worth shit. (I haven't checked out Vive la Vida, but if it's anything like X&Y, I'm not interested) |
guns n roses
i suppose it's no secret if you have a shirt. |
Guns N Roses "Appetite For Destrution" -era - Win.
Guns N Roses with "November Rain" - Nooooooooo! |
i'm talking about appetite for destruction
fuck anything else they did after that welcome to the jungle is MADE of win. |
^^^Phew, thank God for that! Me own fave is "Paradise City", espesh when it goes fast and nuts at the end.
i think it's obvious by our choices who the more aggressive of the two of us is. haha.
*Melly whimpers like the low-down dawg he is*
*Cantanky triumphs, pours herself another whiskey* ;) |
haha
i love paradise city though axl rose is probably the biggest douchebag ever ![]() though he looks well cool here, doesn't he? |
I fucking hate Axl, but he does have a good "look" about him. What a waste.
Cantanky - Sure does. There were a GREAT looking band all round when they first broke. I always liked Izzy Stradlin's look, he got the wasted look thang down just fine.
can't forget about slash too
slash seems to be the nicest and most charismatic |
But he should've stopped wearing the hat a long time ago. It was a good gimmick for a few years, but now it's just annoying.
let him wear the hat.
Cantanky - Yeah, Slash comes across as a decent guy in interviews - happy to take the piss out of himself too. Axl Rose is probably about as decent as Josef Stalin these days.
slash seems like a genuinely cool, pretty laid back kind of dude. axl rose looks about as good as josef stalin these days.
No. He must take the hat off. I said so.
On the other hand, if Buckethead took off his very gimmicky hat, I would probably hate him. But yeah Slash seems cool. |
^^Another Cantanky zinger *comedy drumroll*
I like Steely Dan's Kid Charlemagne but I really can't stand most else that I've heard from them.
I just saw them last night. It all pretty much sounds the same, really.
Steely Dan are one of those bands that people my age are supposed to like ("intelligent" rock, if you will), but I find them completely snoresome. Fuck "intelligent" rock, gimme bozo ROCK any day of the week.
steely dan are cringeworthy
I grew up on them. Fuck you all.
![]() "Eh, eh, eh calm down, calm down!" :D |
just because you were tied down and forced to listen to steely dan at full volume as a child doesn't make them good.
Steely Dan doesn't sound all that intelligent to me. Just kind of like uncomfortable white boy funk. Like Jamiroquai or something. Ew.
Use your Illusion is a classic case of having enough material for a great single album - certainly enough for it to have been able to compete with Appetite. But to release it as two doubles was bound to see it capsize with filler. Which it did.
They're intelligent in a compositional sense. Their chord pregressions are 100% jazz but fitted to sound very poppy, which is very hard to do.
You're all just wrong. |
Jamiroquai? Arrggh! I HATE that Stevie Wonder-thieving trampy cunt!
You know what Jamiroquai is, don't you?: |
