Yes and they were fucking wonderful! I can't seem to get enough of this band at the moment. |
I gave Keiji Haino a hug in the toilets of The Spitz. I think that I did it mainly to get him off from standing in front of the cubicle so that I could get in.
|
i remembered just now that i few years ago i saw the music. last night i saw aids wolf. great music-meh show

Awww, I suppose that means I'm going to have to hate you now. Still, I remember seeing Loop and getting pissed off because they were too loud for me to chat to my friend. So, it's all good in the hood, as they say. |
I think I've seen Loop, Luna, Lush, who the fuck knows...too hard to be sure...some of those daze were a blur. And I might have only been there for half a show or so...sometimes I would go in clubs and leave my ID at the door (on the pretense that I was looking for someone; and sometimes I really was) and just stay for a few songs...sometimes they were free passes anyway.
Like the L7 show, I left pretty early. Hell, I just remembered I didn't list Ween; I've seen them thrice. Damn you thread, I got to thinking last night whether I've seen ha The Hooters or not and just can't be sure. |
Quote:
Ha ha. A well known but little documented fact is that when it comes to seeing Ween, people have either never seen them at all or they've seen them three times. Never twice, or four times. Always three. They must've had a really steady three years, and then nothing. Exactly the same with Bongwater, and the JSBX. Edit: Quote:
And a further Ha ha. In conversation I'll sometimes say that I once saw Stereolab, but the more i think about it, the more I don't actually think that I ever did. I don't actually like them at all them so it's not like i'm wishing i had, and it's not even as though any of my friends like them for me to be trying to impress them. It's just weird. |
i've only seen jsbx once
|
hope it was an early date jsbx
the 2nd ween was the best which found me drunkenly dancing on a table top at the 40 watt for the encores |
it was about 6 years ago, they played a set and then played as solomon burke's backing band. it was ok. solomon burke killed it, but the whole scenarios didn't really seem to fit too well.
|
I gave up on Royal Trux after the third time, i think. It was about the time they decided that Warrant would make for a cool influence.

|
more likely Jennthebenn is, she has seen then 11 more times then I for a total of 38 times

That's a pretty incredible statistic, I have to say.
Fuck it though. I saw the Action Swingers twice, so I'm happy. |
First band: Indestructable Grey
Last band: The Raveonettes |

The Haters never made it to ATP due to a missed/cancelled flight... I didn't know that either until I read about it afterwards; they were all wearing balaclavas anyway. The CD release is credited to just the New Blockaders as well. Also, I think you forgot to list Thurston Moore. :) |

I've never stagedived in my life, and never will. The indie equiv. of air guitar.

I very nearly got kicked out of a gig for stagediving. After a tussle and an argument, we all agreed that 'once more and you're out'. I wouldn't have been annoyed, but it was Napalm Death (who I've seen 4 times now). |
Quote:
maaaaaaan!!! i haven't listened to the lunachicks in ten years, probably. --- never crowdsurfaced, never stagedove; slamdanced plenty of times but that's not what i normally do at shows. i slammed with xanopticon (one of the most hilarious pits ever!), the time before was with melt-banana and before that was xbxrx i think, a year before. |
![]() That's it! I've decided, I'm gonna mosh solo-style to Jan Brady right NOW. Make some room fellas! |
