Dang, I didn't receive it. I'll try another email. |
Toilet and Bowels you need to send an address if you want to receive any leaflets. Many thanks.
Despite my initial reservations, I'm actually quite looking forward to playing at Supernormal.
It will be our first attempt at doing what we do in a live setting. Hopefuly having our first rehearsal this weekend. Oh, and if anyone's interested, you can download our new EP on Rural Colours here http://www.ruralcolours.co.uk/releases/rc002/rc002.html It's free!! |
I'm quite looking forward to seeing what you do live Florya. I'll be in the circle pit. You will have circle pits, right?
You'll have to get there early - they've put us on early evening on the Friday.
What the heck is a circle pit? :-) |
I guess you'll find out while on-stage...
Just googled it.
Oh yeah, there will be circle pits. Fuelled by angel dust and amyl nitrate. :-) |
Circle pits are for pussies... the wall of death is where it's at (youtube it).
It all looks so very australian!

Circle pits work all right with just a handful of people. Wall of death is a bit crap unless you have enough people doing it. But I did laugh. |
Florya and Glice, you should have received leaflets.
Glice- just to make sure, did you pass some on to Charlie? DJ thing I'm not sure what's going on and I'm not too bothered. |
I haven't passed any on to Charlie, but they've mostly found their way around. I only have 15 left now.
DJ thing - well, I'm happy to burn a load of CDs, but I suppose it'll be a pretty on-the-hop thing, so we'll sort that out (if necessary) in the week or so before, ja? |
Cindytalk added to the line up. I've nearly asked Keran to take one of the bands out of the line up because we found out we forgot why they were on there in the first place.
Do you have any insider knowledge on the line-up? Only my name still isn't appearing, and I'd like to start planning getting off-stage and getting so drunk I offer my naked body to Zappi.
Glad to see that Cindytalk are listed.
Have they confirmed? Last time I spoke to Gordon he wasn't 100%. |
Shame about cindytalk. Does anyone need any concess. ticks at £ 40? Email names to the address on the first post.
Can we get a roll call on this then? Who am I meeting that I've not met before?
we've met before but we can meet again if you get up in time to watch my band's set at 11am on sunday morning!

According to the website, I'm on 8pm Friday, Listening Mirror are 10am (!) Saturday.
in return for them putting us on at such an idiotic time we're going to play a drunk improv set in our sleeping bags
Fucking hell. Looks like I'm going to be getting up early Sat/ Sun and then having an afternoon kip while the cack music's on. Glad I'm playing on Friday now.
Who the gets up that early to see ANY band? Florya I'll do my best on Sat. It's not a promise.
we're playing at 2 now, which in a way is disappointing because i had warmed to the idea of an 11am hangoverevenge set
Bowels, d'you reckon you could ring me about 10 minutes before you're going on? That'd be well helpful.

Cheers for getting us on the bill Gab. By my reckoning our slot was moved 11 times, 5 of them during the festival. When we arrived, at about 1.30pm on Friday, the website said that we were playing at 10am Saturday. But when we bumped into Glice at about 9.30 on Friday night, he showed us a programme he'd been given, it listed us as playing at 7pm on Friday!! So we'd missed our slot because we hadn't been told. Then on Saturday morning we were told that we could play in front of the Black Lagoon Lounge, but the DJs that were already playing were having none of it. Then we were told 4pm on the main stage, so I went to check. By the time I reached the stage (about 5 minutes) it had changed again to 2.30 and while I was talking to the sound guy (by this time it was 12.15) It was decided that we would play at 12.30!! So we had a mad rush to try and get set up and finally started playing at around 12.50. I'm exhausted!:) |
this festival was loads of fun! if they put it on again i'd go back for sure.

Jesus Christ haha! |
Just got back home. I hope everyone has had good time. Will write more later.
Yes, please do, I'm really curious about how this mess (in the best possible acception) turned out. Pics and recordings would help too he he, but Kegmama already posted some amazing stuff he he...I say he he too much.
This was more fun than a very fun thing indeed. Met loads of awesome people, drank myself ridiculous. I got to play with the A band behind a very naked theraminist. There was a bare minimum of cack bands. I did the bad friend thing of properly falling asleep during Thought Forms.
This festival was awesomes. |
I made it a point of watching at least all the bands I put on and nobody disappointed. Took some pictures of all of them, some a bit blurred due to my costant state of drunkness (3 days!). Chatted to tons of great people, including the very sexy Glice. Of the other bands I LOVED Gnod. Was also nice listening to some ranting about David Keenan from several members of The A Band, including anedoctes about his old band Telstar Ponies. Driving in the middle of knowhere with Ike and Jake from Fuck Knuckles while Manowar were playing very loudly on the van-stereo was also loads of fun. More later...
Fuck yeah. Gnod were AMAZING.
One of the guys in Faust was joking about the singer at the front looking like Mick Jagger. They also put on loads of great records when they DJed on Friday night.

OoooH! Did you get any pictures of us? I know there wasn't much to see, but it would be nice to have some photographic evidence that we were there! :-) |
Wuw that was nice and good sounding too!
Love that stage. Marras, there was no "official" coverage (I mean, some guy/guys who had the task of recording some footage and stuff)? Seems like one of those festival which would make for a great cut-up lo fi doc or something. I speak bad english. |
