Is that one of those Jukeboxes that are connected to the internet and you can find pretty much anything? I couldn't find any Skullflower though..
|
Ooops...didn't read your post properly porky....apologies.
|
Yep,it's one of those things Iain. They are a good invention for sure.I've found Philip Jeck on one of them.Imagine the joy.
|
VT has a load of OOP bower stuff in this week
|
Bollocks, I completely forgot to include Datblygu in my post.
I haven't heard that Eve album, and I suspect I should. The good thing about pop albums is they are really easy to find in bargain bins. |

Cheers, noticed earlier today. Don't know if I have the £££ to splash at the moment but I want some of those items for sure. |
Oh well....that decision has been made for me. Pretty much all of that stuff has gone already except some of the Sunroof! stuff. Ick!
|
aquarius had 3rd gatekeeper last week, or whatever it's called.
|
I have that one but thanks....I think you can still get that one quite easily. Can't remember where I got it though. Also, you can still get copies of Last Shot at Heaven from the label, Noiseville.
|
I whipped myself on the back(The Name of the Rose style) last night for not mentioning Current 93,Nurse With Wound and a million others.I'm really crap at this sort of lists.

oh ok i didnt think Irish ever referred to themselves as british. |
They don't. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, not part of Britain. The Republic of Ireland (Eire) is part of neither.

There are those who would say that anyone who adds 'London' to 'Derry' aren't Irish. Northern Ireland and Republic are two different political entities, for whatever that means. |

That link doesn't seem to work.
Anyway, how about a thread about the best breton musical entities of the last 25 years? That would give us an excellent opportunity to learn that Brittany isn't part of Britain either. |
I've edited, the link should be ok now.

Damn right. The best Breton musical entity of the past 25 years are Les Prates. Les Pirates are an attempt to create a new generation of Breton folk singers, by taking children (aged roughly 10-15, mainly girls) and performing sea shanties. They are one of the finest sea shanty bands I've seen (I've seen a lot) - excellent on record and truly wonderful live. |
i'll take your word for it.
i think the only breton musical entity i'm familiar with is manau and i certainly wouldn't put them in a top 10 of any sorts. :D |
I don't know them. Between us, though, that's two contemporary Breton bands. It's a start.
|
I'm not sure if this is worth 3 and a half minutes of your time... but
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XM-kCs1qK80 :D I'm sure Les Prates are better. |
I lasted one and a half minutes. MC Solaar impersonators.
You can order a Les Pirates CD here. Click on this link. It's a very, very good CD |

shit, i would not have thought that they would have been able to invade the radiowaves of other european countries: how the hell did you become familiar with them? the sad thing is that manau was also the first name to come to my mind when thinking of breton musical entities... |
haha... believe it or not but that song was actually a pretty big hit in holland; it got quite a lot of airplay. very unfortunate for me since i really disliked it. thankfully it's the only song of theirs i've heard.
it doesn't surprise me that they were the first name you were thinking of. i mean it would be hard not to notice that they're from brittany! |
