SynthethicalY 04.07.2007 11:46 PM

I will not be able to go to NY:( This truly saddens me. I will go to the University next to my home. But I will make the best out of it.

This is the college I will probably be attending.

CSUN

oh man. we could have had some sweet ny adventures, granting columbia decided i was leet enough to attend.

i'm leaving fsu and flagler college open as safeties. i'm afraid that sean will be unable to not get used to me not being there so just in case, i'll stay here then transfer after i work through that. hopefully he'll adjust.

drrrtyboots 04.07.2007 11:49 PM

colleges in new york are too expensive, new york is too expensive. but therere deffinitely some great ones there.

SynthethicalY 04.07.2007 11:50 PM

I really want to go. But my finances and all that crap won't let me.

drrrtyboots 04.07.2007 11:51 PM

my sister just got into sarah laweernce and that means i automatically have to lower my financial standards five thousands dollars because she got into her dream school and it costs a fucking lot of money. college gfdjngbegb ugh.

schizophrenicroom 04.07.2007 11:52 PM

csun looks really nice.

yeah, my problem is the financial. if i did go to columbia i'd end up living off ramen noodles or something because of my inability to hold money. i have a feeling i'll be there, though. being poor is worth going there.

i hope we can be good freinds then, ny is my second home thesse days.

drrrtyboots 04.07.2007 11:54 PM

yeah. i want to go somewhere for writing too but private colleges are all great deals of money. but id rather die in debt then die unsatisfied in my progfessions.

schizophrenicroom 04.07.2007 11:55 PM

hell yeah! we can have some white russians together.

my second home is orlando nowadays. i'll actually miss that city next year.

drrrtyboots 04.07.2007 11:56 PM

yes but new york is the music capital of the world. brooklyn has some of the craziest dance party/shws youll ever witness. ive never danced so hard in myy entire life i swear.

SynthethicalY 04.07.2007 11:57 PM

I think I should do it. Yeah CSUN is a nice school, my only problem it is at home. I have been here for 22 years. But I think I want to be a High School teacher. Because it has been something I wanted to do. They do have great benefits, and good vacations.

SynthethicalY 04.07.2007 11:58 PM

You guys are making me sad. I feel I'll never be able to go there.

schizophrenicroom 04.07.2007 11:58 PM

yeah, i'm just as excited for the music as i am school.

i really want to be at the harlem shakes gig at the knitting factory in (i think) brooklyn going on right now. i've been obsessed with them for months.

victor- sometimes i feel like i never will. but tonight i have a feeling. just find the feeling. you totally will. fifty internet bucks says in a year or two i'll be walking from class and yell out your name and that you finally fucking got here.

Hardest I ever danced was to Burnin' Down the House at my aunts wedding. Also; only time I've danced/plan on dancing.

drrrtyboots 04.07.2007 11:59 PM

i'm sorry...i actually never realize how lucky i am to have lved so close to nyc my whole life. the past few years have been filled with so many shows and experiences there, its been magical.

SynthethicalY 04.07.2007 11:59 PM

oh come on, don't you want to dance on your wedding day?

Well... I guess so... but I'm not a dancer... It's only fun when you are not taking it at all seriously, and yr with yr friends, and it's in the music hall at school when the school band is playing cheesy jazz and swing shit.

drrrtyboots 04.08.2007 12:01 AM

i beg to differ!!

SynthethicalY 04.08.2007 12:02 AM

I like to dance whilst listening to the New York Dolls or Kool Thing.

drrrtyboots 04.08.2007 12:04 AM

im dancing a bit right now listening to friend opportunity. it makes me think of butterflies and happniess,.

three hundred sixty five degrees! BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE!

i danced pretty hard to "my humps" at my cousin's wedding last year. i remember getting tons of champagne from the adorable groomsmen that and that was awesome.

nick- yeah, you've been pretty lucky. i guess i have been, with orlando being close. i still think the combo of harlem shakes-busdriver-deerhoof was the fucking greatest night ever.

i only dance when it feels like the right moment to dance. it is only fun when there's no seriousness involved. during marching season we basses had a dance for our cadences, and while seriousness is required, you can't be serious while dancing and carrying a drum.

friend opportunity is superrad. busdriver and dj caural came out for "kidz are so small" and the combo of bus and satomi was amazing. all of their sweat managed to propel itself towards me.

i'm planning to dance at my wedding. my song with my dad is going to be cheap trick's "surrender", then with the hubby (i've planned this all out) it'll be "hungry like the wolf".

drrrtyboots 04.08.2007 12:06 AM

he dont mess aroundd.

Bingo.
And what is a "candence?" I've been wondering since getting this Against Me! album... lyric: "as the cadence carries me, I almost drift away....."

SynthethicalY 04.08.2007 12:09 AM

I am a horrible dancer, but I still dance. Also bad singer as well.

it's basically a drumline song that's played in between the full band pieces. usually a line or two of music but it's repeated over and over.

nick- bethune cookman college has a band that don't mess around for nothing. they're seriously the coolest band (but brown's band site has led me to believe they're very cool). i prefer their half-time performances to the actual game.

victor- i can't sing, but i have fun trying. i wish i could find my mic to work on "i love her all the time" with danny.

SynthethicalY 04.08.2007 12:11 AM

I am thinking of becoming a High School Teacher.

drrrtyboots 04.08.2007 12:13 AM

what kind of teaacher?

schizophrenicroom 04.08.2007 12:15 AM

if i wanted to go into teaching, i'd probably pick high school or college. i don't have the patience for middle school or elementary.

SynthethicalY 04.08.2007 12:15 AM

English teacher, cause that is my strongest subject. But I am also thinking Science, since those are needed the most.

Yeah same here.

drrrtyboots 04.08.2007 12:16 AM

yeah, if i hated myself in middle and elementary then ill ahte those whom i teach ever more im sure.

drrrtyboots 04.08.2007 12:16 AM

english teachers always seem to be the biggest characters of the bunch. am i right?

SynthethicalY 04.08.2007 12:17 AM

Yeah, and the most hip.

drrrtyboots 04.08.2007 12:18 AM

depending on their age i guess. theres an englisgh teacher in my school that tried to be thoreau and spent two years building a cabin in the woods after college. the funny parrt is that his daughrtr, whos a senior, says its becaue her daddy was a big cokehead at that point.

SynthethicalY 04.08.2007 12:20 AM

Haha, yeah there are the boring and dick and cool teachers. I could never do what thoreau did. I need a city.

drrrtyboots 04.08.2007 12:22 AM

im the same. but his case is understandable.

you're right. i still think my english teacher from last year is one of the most fascinating human beings to grace earth. he smashed his clock last year because the hands bugged him. and he liked to practice his golf swing as he taught and would ask us how he could improve his swing, like we knew anything about golf.

but i have had some neat history teachers. history is fun because teachers can skew the class anyway they damn please.

the one i have this year is just ok.

haha, the thoreau wannabe sounds like he'd be fun to have as a teacher.

victor- i'd go with english.

SynthethicalY 04.08.2007 12:23 AM

Yeah, why am I watching corporate music television? Fuse?
