Hello everyone. What a lovely day.
HOAP/SOAP almost coming true news story: Manila X-ray spots snakes in bags Filipino authorities have intercepted an apparent attempt to smuggle more than 100 poisonous snakes and lizards onto a plane bound for Bangkok. Security officers noticed a snake-shaped image moving inside a woman's suitcase as it was X-rayed. Inside, they discovered live snakes coiled up inside soft drink bottles and lizards with nappies to collect urine. Some 50 lizards, 39 cobras, 21 vipers and other smaller lizards were found hidden in two pieces of luggage. The animals, many considered threatened species, were handed over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources. An official from the department said the cache of animals could have been worth tens of thousands of dollars. Reptile species are believed to have aphrodisiac properties and are often traded as good-luck charms, delicacies or ornaments in some parts of Asia. The woman has been held for questioning. Last week Manila airport authorities stopped a man who had travelled from Cambodia with three live Siamese crocodiles. He had told authorities that the half-meter-long (1.5ft) reptiles were live fish. |

Well well if it isn't one of my fav boardmembers.
How are you today? |
Hello Sn@ke.
Everything is good today Trasher. I don't really have bad days, to be honest. How about your good self? |
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Hip Priest again.
is there NO ONE i can rep??? |
Hello again lucy.
I hope you're going to be a regular from now on. |
Heh, probably...
I've got enough time on my hands! |
Excellent news.
|
I too, am pleased with lucy becoming a regular recently.
It's good to see someone is trying to save radio here. Last year when I was out in Colorado I had the best time listening to some awesome classic rock trucker radio. |
I've only discovered it recently, but it does seem to be genuinely intereseting.
|
I hate having to live with Liverpool's 'hit music station', Radio City 96.7.
|
Oh, you could always check out Juice FM instead.
That was a joke. Do not check out Juice FM. When I did jury service they used to have Juice FM on, the worst pile of rusty tripe I've ever heard. About a dozen songs on the playlist, all of them unbearable. I used to go onto the balcony instead and look down on the archaeological dig that was going on. |
in london you can get resonance fm which is pretty interesting (i think its 104.4 fm)
|
Juice FM is where all the unwanted Radio City DJs go. Once a Radio City DJ came to our school and he had things thrown at him as he left. Rocks, cans, etc.

Good nomination. They're on my favourites list too: http://www.resonancefm.com/index.htm Quote:
All Radio City DJs are unwanted. |
![]() Oh, Liverpool.. |
Two decent American music stations:
KEXP (they're usually happy to play SY if you email a request): http://www.kexp.org/about/about.asp And WWOZ for New Orleans jazz and blues music: http://www.wwoz.org/ |
Seattle's 'The End' radio station is okay. Kinda commercial and scene, but it's decent and SY have played at their festivals a couple of times.
