ah fine, leave :p night.

victor- my friend is seeing them in chicago. i want to go SO BADLY. but next year is going to be the charm, i think, for me to see sy.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 01:45 AM

Yeah, I was bored in my speech class, and we weren't doing anythng so i wrote this poem.Hope you get to see them, they are good.

Lucy walking down the streets, raising hell,
Her eyes are blue, and black thin hair,
Lips pink and dull, very used,
The mind of this fallen angel is lost, in the haze of time.

Pills take her home, to the dreamscape of her own breakdown,
There no one is real, all made of burning paper,
They are burning in their brilliance,
Coming Down broken-hearted, and cold train wreck.

They wander aimlessly in time, looking for the next ride,
Going down the windblown towns,
Driving their minds and soul into the noise,
And Lucy calling the agents, to stop bringing her down.

Lucy picking up pennies, and throwing it at passerby angels,
Who in return sell her looks through their looks,
She shivers at the white cold stares,
And goes home to the white night light, burning out.

there's pictures of the harlem shakes on flickr from the session they did on woxy.com and they make me feel like a giddy teenybopper.

oh goodness, i love this.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 01:47 AM

Are you going to pull out your hair, and start crying?

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 01:49 AM

Thanks schizo, I really appreciate that, since I took my time to edit it out, than just let it stand as it fell from my mind.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 01:50 AM

nah, i'm having a good night.

i did used to have a really bad habit of yanking out my hair. i could never keep my hands still and that hurt less than picking at my skin.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 01:51 AM

Oh that was a reference to the beatles. I used to, not much anymore pull out the hairs of my legs.

no problem

i still have my writer's block firmly in place but poetry is getting easier to write. it's more soothing to put to paper than sentences.

oh, i feel silly.

i knew a kid that did that. did it to kill time.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 01:56 AM

Yeah, I was sketching something else, but that did not take place, so I decided to rewrite it. I basically, wanted to speak about the devil in the time he was cast out of heaven. And I think I did it here. Lucy is short for lucifer, and angels are angels, but that is my secret word for humans, and time for life.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 01:57 AM

ah. i was thinking something like that, with lucy. that's really neat.

i have some poems written down in my notebook but they're lame. i think i'll keep them just as hard copies.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 01:57 AM

I pull my hair when I can't control my sorroundings, but thank god I am out of that now.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 01:59 AM

i start flapping my arms, which is the same thing i do when i'm really excited. it's kind of embarrassing but i really have no control over it.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 02:03 AM

Yeah, before I realize I leave a blank spot in my legs, and still want to pull out the hairs.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:09 AM

i had a small bald spot going because i'd just pull it out. at least at that age (i think 10) my hair was real layered so you couldn't tell too much.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 02:10 AM

Well at least it wasn't noticeable., I just realize I have horrible taste in music.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:11 AM

how so?

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 02:13 AM

I can't stop listening to the Killers, and a lot of mainstream rock I actually like, but not that I would buy their record, but still like it when they paly it.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:15 AM

i really really love "when you were young". there's that line, "we're burning down the highway skyline..." that builds up to the chorus that is probably one of my favorite musical moments in a while.

yeah, i wouldn't buy it (mom did) because the killers only seem to make REALLY GOOD singles and fail to make good non-singles but if they come on the radio i listen.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:15 AM

you have good taste.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 02:17 AM

Yeah, I got a burned copy of the new cd. And it is pretty listenable. Ah I can't wait till finals come.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:19 AM

my finals were pretty awesome. some were really difficult but some were a breeze.

now all i have to worry about is my essay. i have the topic and my research plan set up.. oh man.

Thanks, the majority in here would say shit. I have a friend of mine who is really into Nirvana, saying they were the last great band. And i'm in my head saying, No fucking way they are other great bands out there. I used to be a big Nirvana Fan, but when I discovered SY I went on a different direction in music. I might buy Elton John's greatest hits if there is one.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:25 AM

haha no problem

i absolutely still love "about a girl" but nirvana are just painful to listen to because i remember being thirteen thinking they were really rad.. and they really aren't.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 02:30 AM

I mean to me they are still listenable, but I moved beyond them. I associate them with my high school years. Sort of like a gateway band to other and better bands.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:32 AM

oh, yeah.

i wouldn't say i've moved on at all but i haven't listened to sonic youth a lot recently. the music is so close to my heart, it's more or less become an extension of me (i don't really know to how to word it) and i feel like i don't have to listen because i can just think about it and feel it.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 02:35 AM

Yeah, I haven't really listen to Sonic Youth either.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:38 AM

the opening seconds of schizophrenia make me feel too much.. it's hard to listen even though that's my absolute favorite song.

do you like bright eyes at all? i can't believe it was already a week ago i saw them.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 02:39 AM

I haven't listen to any of their things.

schizophrenicroom 05.25.2007 02:40 AM

ahh july 15th is morrissey. it will be amazing.

SynthethicalY 05.25.2007 02:42 AM

Cool, I think I might go to bed now. I need to be in good shape tomorrow for class.

I find Lifted is decent, but the only stuff by bright eyes that I actually really enjoy is his split with Britt Daniel from Spoon. It's 4 excellent tracks of them collaborating. You should check it out!

Anyway, I just got back from a 3 day bike trip. It was over 30 degrees and we biked 8 hours a day and on the last day I carried the trailer full of stuff, so my legs and ass are sore now. BUT there's this cool mexican girl that finds me cute that wants to add me on facebook, and this other girl that was apparently 'eyeing' me, and she was wearing biker shorts :).

Well I'm off to go pedal shopping with a friend! I'll be back soon

yeah, i really like that. have you heard any of spoon's new album? i don't like it as much as the last two but it's still spoony goodness.

eh, now that i think lifted is probably my second-favourite. i had it on before i fell asleep and ah. it's awesome.

your story makes me want to go buy a bike. i haven't owned one in years.
