this won't be the best or most anticipated album of 2023 but definitely one of the coolest releases. It's already sold out though ...
The Folk Implosion - It Just Goes With... See Lou Barlow's Instructional Video! |

That is one bitchen artifact indeed. 163 copies - gone! |

Jenny Lewis - Joy'All (June 9)
"I'm not a psycho I'm just trying to get laid I'm a rock n roll disciple In a video game..." |
Molina, Talbot, Lofgren and Young - All Roads Lead Home (March 31). Credited just the way you just read it; not to Crazy Horse.
Cowboy Junkies - Such Ferocious Beauty (June 2) |
1. BC,NR....they did a damn good job sans Isaac. They have a future.
2. Lana Del Rey....DYKTTATUOB.....even the acronym is long ....but fuck, this album delivers. (Sue me, Nazi.) |
Swans - The Beggar - June 23rd.
It's another 2hr Motherfucker, with one track that is 44min. 4 of the gang from the 2010-2017 years are still there. This is my fav band, and the only band that I made the trouble to see over the last....um....40 years. If song titles and lyrics are anything to go by, this could be the last one. Lead song Paradise Is Mine can be found here: https://younggodrecords.com/collecti...cts/the-beggar It's hypnotic/morose. 3 listens and I'm hooked. |
|
Bob Dylan - Shadow Kingdom: soundtrack vinyl/CD June 2, feature film download/rental (no DVD or Blu-Ray, apparently ) June 6.
|
Liturgy, anyone?
|
No thanks. I just had my breakfast. Maybe later
|
Good one!
The new album, 93696....it's er....it's er....... |
PJ Harvey - I Inside The Old Year Dying (July 7). On Partisan Records, which if I'm not mistaken makes it her first non-Island album ever, not counting the All About Eve, The Virtues, and Bad Sisters soundtracks. Wye Oak - Every Day Like The Last (June 23). Three new songs plus all six singles released since 2019. |
Donny McCaslin - I Want More (June 16)

Yes. The 2CD is coming to me.

I listened to that Liturgy album a few days ago (while cooking dinner actually) and it was the most discomfortable experience I had in a long while. Definitely not my cup of tea that.
With every song I thought: "why am I listening to this, why am I still listening to this" :) still I endured and listened to the full thing. I'm so proud of myself now |

Every now and then I see a "bad" review that makes me want it even more. |
