You mean the Java Joint in St. Cloud? We're playing there May 5th. First out of town gig!

My favorite venue is First Avenue/7th Street Entry
I had the honor of playing 7th Street Entry recently.

I updated the list. I took away the Red Sea, & replaced it w/ First Avenue.

Both of these on this tour would really make my day. As long as there is one of these I'll be happy!

Krastian:

Well, since they're different states, I don't see why I should take either down.
& you never know which/ or if shows are gonna be chosen by SY.
Hopefully chabib will see the hard work we've all put into this & ask them to consider these venues on their next tour.
(not trying to get shows added)

krastian 04.18.2006 01:57 AM

I was just doing some wishful thinking....not saying to take them off the list you are making. The two venues are pretty close to each other. Baltimore is like a 40 minute drive south down to DC.

marleypumpkin 04.18.2006 02:02 AM

Hmm, I might have to re-consider. That is a bit too close. Oh well. For now, it stays.

Glasgow Barrowlands is in, surprisingly enough, Glasgow. I realise that you may not know British geography, but Scotland is a hell of a long way away from London.

marleypumpkin 04.18.2006 08:21 AM

Hell man, you should of told me in your post wher it was. I was doing guess work. I'm not a geography major in anyway. Oh well, I'll go fix it now. Thanks for filling me in on the location. (I'm a dumbass)

marleypumpkin 04.18.2006 08:26 AM

WHOROHSCOPE: The list has been updated. I added your venue.

noumenal 04.18.2006 08:27 AM

It's only about 400 miles - like driving from Knoxville to Savannah

marleypumpkin 04.18.2006 08:29 AM

noumenal: Are you talking about London to Glasgow, or what? I'm confused.

noumenal 04.18.2006 08:30 AM

yeah, London to Glasgow

A Thousand Threads 04.18.2006 08:37 AM

here in Linz it´s pretty hard to find cool venues
well,
KAPU, STWST, Schl8hof Wels

Re: London to Glasgow.

It might be only 400 miles but what with public transport the way it is in the UK it will take you an age to get there and it'll quite likely be a bloody hellish journey to boot.

If we're looking at where we'd like to see SY play on the tour to support Rather Ripped, then for the London show I'd prefer to see them at the Royal Albert Hall or Somerset House than Brixton Academy. I've nothing against Brixton Academy, I just reckon that the Royal Albert Hall or Somerset House would be cool places to see them.

noumenal 04.18.2006 09:05 AM

Within a four houe drive of where I live would be nice.

Ew. RAH has horrible acoustics. Horrible, antiquated, Victorian bollocks. Barbican or RFH all the way. Although if Jimmer was still in the band it would be excellent to hear him make use of the RAH's fuck-off huge organ.

I've seen two concerts - Johnny Cash and Nick Cave - at RAH, and the sound was fine. I was on the floor level for both though, I don't know what the place is like up in the gods.

But yeah, Barbican and RFH would both be cool (although it would have to be QEH at the moment, not RFH).

Oo-er, missus!

Glice 04.18.2006 10:22 AM

Yeah... up in the Gods it's crap sound. On the floor it's fine for Rock concerts, but still shite compared to other London venues for classical stuff.
