As well as the aural atrocities inflicted on me as a child/teenager by my parents (Phil Collins, David Essex), I also got to listen to T-Rex and The Carpenters, both of which I'm still fond of.

Yeah, my mum played a lot of the Carpenters - when she wasn't sofa diving to Flux of Pink Indians, that is.

My house was always full of music growing up. My parenst would play Puerto Rican music, salsa, merengues, etc. all the time. I hated much of it, but enjoyed the salsa polyrhythms. My mom would play this album every saturday without fail as she cleaned the house. the bee gees were her favorite band. ![]() Also we would listen to THRILLER all the fucking time. and my favorite records at the age of 8-11 were ![]() ![]() ![]() |
