I work for all my clothes, and hot topic is lame.

No offence taken, I get it all the time. Now get off my thread! :p

Laila 05.09.2006 07:31 PM

i would rather be called emo than goth any day of the week!

Inhuman 05.09.2006 08:07 PM

I really don't mind people calling me emo, but it's just the fact that it's associated to (what people think is) my chemical atreyufold, which annoys me

holy-reverb!! 05.09.2006 08:59 PM

then you should just simply stop dressing or whatever you do to make people think you are emo.

Somebody seems to be trying to up their post count.

Sonic Max 05.12.2006 02:27 AM

I really thought perhaps that on a sonic youth forum I might not see stupid shit like this.
Why are you laughing at them?
I mean seriously,

That one could easily have been thurston, would you have still laughed?

Don't get me wrong, i'm not standing up for these guys particularly, most are probably tossers, but just because they take pictures of themselves doesn't make them an idiot.

i still can't get fully this "emo-thing" ---here in italy i think it's just a style/fashion becoming popular, but is it supposed to have some sort of philosophy behind?i'm asking because i am really ignorant about this subject...
plus:i figured out what emo kids do look like, but are there emo-adults?
or the emo-kids of today will grow up to be the first generation of emo-adults?

hope nobody gets offended by my stupid questions...excluding the shirts with names of band i don't like i think it's not such a bad style,anyway...better than gangsta imo.which brings to my mind another question: where are blak emo-kids??

People made a big deal about it, and it turned into some huge stereotype which has nothing to do with the music. Check out http://www.fourfa.com and http://www.myspace.com/therealemo , they have some pretty good info . There's too many people trying to be the "typical emo kid", which is sort of sad. I like the clothing style, that's about it. I really don't know about emo-adults, I have some friends who are in their mid 20's into it, but I don't think it will be too big in about 5 years.

nicfit 05.12.2006 12:08 PM

thanks for the links inhuman,i'll check them out as soon as i come back from reharsals with my band (on monday,i think...)...the fact that i'm in my mid 20's makes me an adult??ha he ha,i feel so old....

chuck norris 05.13.2006 01:47 PM

I don't see any EMO kids in Holland yet. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention.

Richie from the Manic Street Preachers seems a bit EMO to me. Is he?

RIPfrey05 05.13.2006 03:40 PM

I wish the grass in my yard was emo so it would cut itself.

Trasher02 05.13.2006 03:41 PM
